It needed a bit more than just a coat of paint. Work included removal of ugly cladding, opening up bricked-in windows, brickwork repair and structural reinforcement, new reproduction multi-pane windows with double glazing, new galvanised iron roof and gutter.
We had to level the top of the window openings to make things fit, but left the other angles and quirks just as they always have been.
