Last week, Andrew Jones Travel hosted the 'Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs Sydney Escape' with travel specialist Belinda Moore.

On the first night in Sydney, the group embarked on a three-hour dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour, a unique experience that offered spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House, Luna Park, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

On day two, the group set off from the PARKROYAL Darling Harbour after a hearty breakfast to the Hop on Hop off the bus for a tour around Sydney before stopping at the Australian Museum for the main event.

The Australian Museum hosted the Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs special exhibition direct from Egypt for a limited time only. Everyone was in awe of the amazing skills required to carve the incredible sculptures and the craftsmanship in the beautiful jewellery.

That night, the group was treated to a buffet dinner at the revolving restaurant in the Sydney Sky Tower while admiring the city's lights below.

"I thought you would like to hear that our trip has gone smoothly to date. We got a points upgrade to Business Class from Melbourne to Singapore, which was a pleasant surprise.

Sentosa Shangri La is a very nice hotel and resort, but evening meals and refreshments at the poolside bar can be expensive.

The flight from Singapore to Tokyo Narita today was very comfortable. You had us seated in the Premium Economy section, which was a real plus! The pickup by the amazing Green Tomato at Narita worked seamlessly, and their vehicle and service were excellent.

We had our first ride on the Shinkansen after entering the Yaesu side of Tokyo rail station, which was bustling with people moving in all directions. I had expected retrieving our paper tickets using the QR code we'd received to be daunting, but it was surprisingly straightforward. The fast train to Odawara is excellent in Green Class!

Changing to the Hakone-Tozan line was easy with pre-purchased 'free passes' downloaded as a smartphone QR code. The pass covers the H-T train and local transport around Hakone, such as the boat cruise and cable car, for two or three days.

The first hotel you selected for us is the Okuyomoto at Hakone. It has a delightful room decor and a lovely hillside view and waterfall. There is hot spa water in the bath and shower, too! They provide a free shuttle bus to Yumoto.

We recommend using taxis to get around Tokyo. It saves a lot of stress, but remember to provide the driver with an exact address."
