General Practice Students Network (GPSN) is a national student run general practice interest group aimed at fostering interest in general practice as a specialty. As part of a national network of 20 active GPSN clubs across Australia, GPSN UTAS runs annual networking events and skills workshops in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.

HEY GUYS! The countdown is ON to our GPSN Careers Night 2022 and we have some amazing speakers and prizes lined up! Alongside Dr Karen Price, Dr Larry Owen and Dr Tim Mooney, we are very excited to announce that we will also be joined by Dr Antony Bolton and Dr Amanda Clifford as speakers for the night.

Got an interest in rural medicine? Want to get in touch with experts in the field?
Then join the Rural Medicine Mentoring Program today!!! This program is a joint venture by AMSA and GPSN to connect medical students nationwide with enthusiastic rural doctors interested in sharing their passion and experiences within rural medicine.
The program gives both preclinical and clinical medical students the opportunity to have monthly meetings with their mentors from April to September. Additionally, students can take part in webinars with other mentees to get to know each other and discuss topics brought up in the mentoring sessions.
Furthermore, you and a few friends can partner up and have meetings with the same mentor, providing you all with the chance to have collaborative discussions on the rural medicine experience and pathways!
***Applications for the program are due by Friday the 25th of March at midnight***
