Touring up from Port Arthur our guests are visiting Richmond. Just enough time to park the car and find a treat: Wow a double Raspberry & Chocolate waffle cone!

Charging at Freycinet Lodge on this stunning Summers day while waiting to take my guests back then Hobart.

I saw my first Ora Cat in the wild today, lining up to charge at the Kingston Council Chamber. It is very stylish and reminiscent of a Porche 911 in the front.
Both chargers were in use. Good to see but a bit avoiding. Luckily there is another charger in Kingston. On my trip back from Cradle mountain I also used the Tesla Supercharger for the first time. Very quick and seamless. Nothing in the way of conveniences nearby however. Tomorrow I am heading back to Cradle Mountain. It's been a long week and it's not even Wednesday.

Summer has arrived! The Sunday Famers Market is in full swing on this glorious day.What better way to start the day with a Goumet Egg & Bacon roll and a top up charge before a long drive to Cradle Mountain.

The tourism season is well underway. Just tucking into my fish and chips at the Freycinet Marine farm while I wait for my guests. Life"s good and then it gets better!

It's not often you see two Tesla Y's outside the Tasman Hotel

The Y is around 30 cm taller and inside is very spacious. Compared to an X even I would say it has around 95 % of the same usable space.

Comparing the S with the Y side by side, the Y is quite big. Noticably bigger than its younger sibling the 3. Slightly narrower than the S, but much higher, so it should be able to fit more baggage.

It's getting busy with electric vehicles travelling up the East Coast. I needed a quick top up charge to get to Freycinet & back to Hobart, but another EV was on the CCS charger. Luckily most of the Chargefox chargers installed in Tasmania also have A/C chargers available.
The Tesla S has 22kw A/C charging and 20 minutes was enough to get me going again.

Tried out the new chargers at Oatlands. Campbell Towns apparently are on the blink.

Time to enjoy an early lunch at the Kentish Bakery Oatlands.

Today is the first of many without rain and a great day for a wine tour!

What is better than a Tesla? Two Teslas! Today's winter weather hasn't deterred our visitors from enjoying some of Tasmania's best wineries.

Hobart to Freycinet and now returning from Launceston in one day. Thankfully Zeps at Campell Town was still open.

Tasmania has some stunning destination dining venues. What better way to get there than in a Telsa!

Waiting for my passengers to return to Hobart I took refuge from the blustery weather at Stillwater Restaurant in Launceston. The coconut and rhubarb Panna Cotta was superb. A big thankyou to Stillwater also for letting me charge my Tesla.

I am midway though a tour of the Huon with my guests. While I wait I dropped into one of my favourite bakeries, Summer Kitchen Bakery .

I was looking forward to my first coffee of the day and spotted a coffee chocolate cake. What better way to get a double shot!

Interesting to see that Tesla intends to install a Supercharger in Hobart, early next year, but there is nothing on the map re the two Superchargers that are already partly installed at the Spirit of Tasmania's Ferry Terminal in Devonport.

Great start in the morning with a proper breakfast at The Eatery next to the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Launceston.

Whisky Distillery tours are becoming very popular in Tasmania. Callington Mill Distillery is the latest multi million dollar development that will be opening soon.

After dropping our guest at Pumphouse Point I thought I would charge at Derwent Bridge. This is were the Derwent River begins.

A great place to have a coffee and a snack is The Hungry Wombat Cafe Derwent Bridge . Great staff and a welcomed site after a long trip.

Returning from a trip to Frecynet I thought I will try the AC slow charger at Swansea as I had enough range but thought I would change while I have a light lunch at the Artifakt. I couldn't get the charger to work but I may be here for a while tackling my 'light' lunch.

Our guests are enjoying a wine and whisky tour of the Coal Valley. Killara Distillery near Richmond was a real gem. Kirsty the manager, hails from the famous Lark family and has produced some unique and amazing sprits. Including from our native pepper berries. Established in November 2020 Killara Distillery has great expansion plans under way and is definitely on the list for a re-visit!
