Two views of Hobart this morning.

07.30am Gale force winds leave household rubbish strewn across the city. Some of this rubbish will end up in the Hobart Rivulet.

10:15am Another Hobart Rivulet platypus - the fourth since August - is rescued after becoming entangled in a circular band of rubbish.

Unless such bands break or are removed, the platypus will die a slow and painful death as the loop progressively slices its body open.
