Jackson General Stores

Plants, pots & gifts POPUP in DEC! General store foods, & deli cafe & laneway dining coming in 2022!

18/12/2021

What an amazing first week Ipswich!!

We loved seeing the look on your faces as you discover our little popup 🌱🤩👀

💙 📣 🙏 Big thankyous 🙏 📣 💙

So you may be asking why a general store is selling plants and pots? The main answer is because we can.
The real answer is because we’re here to take that first risk, and try, and get feedback from everyone as we venture into full homewares, deli foods, gifts and a cafe fitout.

Your feedback, encouragement, suggestions and questions have been the best moments of our day.
So far we’ve been asked for deli fresh meats, plant care workshops, interior design services, landscaping orders, fresh lunch 🥗 options (lots of GF and dietary requests).

💬💭💡we’re a feedback friendly business. Come tell us what you want to see and if you run a business, we want to hear from you!

My husband Shane, my children 👧 👦, valuable team Cetana and Ulanta ♥️, and gorgeous friends 💃 have been instrumental in allowing us to come to the Nicholas Street Precinct so quickly.

I can’t believe we’re restocking already 👏🚚🌱

As you may know from having a chat with us instore, Jackson General Stores is a popup owned by Bomo_Bandwagon. While we intend to grow a thriving marketplace business next to Bomo’s coworking memberships and event space, we’re using the opportunity before our fit out is complete to create a case study for the Council to run a popup shop pilot program.

Bridging the gap for risk taking in micro/small/growing businesses is a passion point for us.

You might run a successful business from home, an e-commerce brand, or have a good thing with market stalls, or an existing bricks and mortar store and you’re looking to try a change in location or upsize in space. Do you know the feels?

A popup is the perfect way to test and trial those assumptions. And what a great way to kickstart the retail growth of our Mall and Ipswich Central back but with interesting businesses and things to bring our customers out.

More will be coming to Jackson General in early 2022, but the plant love 🪴 ♥️🌱👏 will definitely be staying!

The lights from Ipswich Festivals finishes this Sunday. If you haven’t ventured in to have a look, I strongly encourage you to make the time in your evening.

The energy on Nicholas St is changing ✨
