Hello coffee faithful

I’m starting to feel as if the planets are definitely not aligned in my favour. After two weeks of chasing a fit for purpose generator I’ve come up empty. It’s not like there isn’t a wide range of options out there it must be said. A combination of limited interior Van space, generator layout and noise limitations have left me without a unit to suit. Hopes of better news on the availability of the Honda I had were dashed as the dates on arrival in Australia are now September 2023.

It’s a legacy of Covid related supply chain issues impacting manufacturing overseas.

Did somebody say it’s Friday the 13th!?!

To that end I’m letting you know unless I can access main’s power on-site I will be unable to provide my coffee services as usually scheduled. Next week I will contact each of my sites to see if any alternatives can be arranged.

All I can do is apologise for the situation, certainly not where I was expecting to be this year. Take care and I will be in touch soon.

Richard

Hello coffee faithful
First of all, Happy New Year to one and all. I hope the festive season was kind to you and filled with good times.
What news? I was hoping to have everything done and sorted by now, but the Christmas period, places being busy and then on holiday shutdown, has held up the recovery process. It’s my target (and heartfelt wish) to be fully operational by the 16th of January. Not ideal just realistic and be assured if I can get back any quicker I will.
So please take care and stay safe and may 2023 be a good year for all the right reasons. With luck I’ll be seeing you soon.

Hello coffee faithful

Unfortunately the Van is still not performing in a reliable manner, so I’ve had to make the hard decision to take the vehicle off the road until I get everything functioning properly. To that end I won’t be operating the business until the new year, seriously not how I wanted to end 2022 by any means.
I do want say a big thank you for your continued support, I really appreciate it and I hope you all have an awesome time until I see you again.
Take care everyone and I hope to see you early in 2023.
Regards
Richard

Hello coffee faithful

Looks like this week is a write off. Not getting the machine back until Friday. Disappointment is real, frustration is real but it’s out of my hands.
At least I can test everything over the weekend to make sure it all functions properly. (Man! I hope so!!)
So I will be back up and running Monday. Have a good and safe week until I see you all again.

27/11/2022

Hello coffee faithful

Just a reminder that I won’t be operating Monday or Tuesday, unless a miracle happens tomorrow.

I hope the weather doesn’t impact anyone badly this week. Take care and I hope to see you soon.

Richard

Hello coffee faithful
Looks like I’m off the road for the next few days. Not having any luck at all right now getting things sorted out in a hurry. So frustrating but it’s just bad timing, everyone is busy as. Still have fingers crossed next week will be better.
I will continue to keep updates coming. Stay safe and well everyone.

23/11/2022

Hello coffee faithful

Whatever mischief is happening to me has struck again. My generator has started to misbehave and the Van is running very hot. Both were fine an hour ago. A double whammy as if either one isn’t bad enough.
What a bloomin year!
Really sorry about this inconvenience, again. Will try and get it sorted as soon as I can. I will keep you posted with updates.
Richard

Hello coffee faithful

I’m whispering this…

The machine is fixed, so I’ll be back on the road Tuesday. So to those that I see tomorrow - I’ll see you tomorrow! 😊

13/11/2022

Hello coffee faithful

My series of unfortunate events continue. Switch the coffee machine on this morning and steam is leaking from the boiler in a big way.
Honestly didn’t know whether to curse, cry or laugh out loud. Never had such a run of whacko stuff happen in one year ever. Things happen in threes - hmmm, think I’ve broken that truism well and truly.
I’m going to try and get it sorted today but it’s going to depend if the workshop in Brisbane have an open slot to look at it.
I’m so sorry about this, I can’t wait for my luck to rebound.
Will keep you updated on news.
Richard

08/11/2022

Hello coffee faithful

The machine is back, new fuel tank and cap required. Not my bad fortunately, a manufacturer mess up at the factory.

Good news is I’ll be back on the road Wednesday. So I hope to see my Wednesday regulars as normal. I will have fingers crossed, but I have faith that everything is good again.

See you all soon.

06/11/2022

Hello coffee faithful

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but on Friday my new generator developed an engine fault and stopped working. Monday, I’m having to take the unit back to the distributor as it is a warranty repair and the local shop isn’t allowed to deal with it.

In a nutshell I’m hamstrung again by another mechanical breakdown, it seems to be my year for it. As a consequence I’m off the road until this latest thing is resolved, which is incredibly frustrating.

All I can do is apologise for not being there for you and hope things get sorted out soon. Fingers crossed that it won’t take long and I’ll be back before you know it.

Once I know more I will keep you updated with developments.

Until I see you again, please everyone, take good care of yourselves.

Richard

Sorry folks, the weather has shut me down for Tuesday. Was doing alright then the wind came to play. Wretched wind 💨.

I shall see you Wednesday as this system is supposed to be gone by this evening. Have a good day and stay safe.

31/10/2022

Hello coffee faithful

I’m still coming out to play today. The rain is rolling around so I might get chased off the run, but I’ll get as far as I can.

See you soon.

24/10/2022

Hello coffee faithful

I’m still coming out to play today. Hopefully this rain will have moved out by the time I get to see you.

Just have to react to circumstances and precipitation.

With luck I’ll see you soon.

17/10/2022

Ok, we got the generator working. Sounded like a fuel feed issue. Things that make you go ‘hmmm’.

So, take two, the rest of Tuesday, here we come. Fingers crossed.

17/10/2022

After working like a charm yesterday my new generator won’t kick into life this morning!?!
Until I get it sorted I won’t be able to do my run today.
Totally confused I am. Thinking a trip back to the point of purchase is on the cards.
So sorry about this inconvenience. It’s driving me crazy.
Will keep you updated.

17/10/2022

Hello coffee faithful

They say life is one big adventure. This week certainly is living up to it’s billing.

Weather permitting I will be on the road Tuesday. Trying out a new power plant in the Van, so I hope it’s up to the job.

So bring on tomorrow.

16/10/2022

Hello coffee faithful

Had an issue with the Van Friday that was unexpected. Couldn’t get it sorted over the weekend but I hope to get it done Monday.

So I can’t operate Monday but I should be back on Tuesday. Sorry to my Monday crew for not being there for you and I hope the grotty weather promised doesn’t eventuate.

See you next week. Take care.

03/10/2022

Hello coffee faithful

Back on the road today. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.

27/09/2022

Hello coffee faithful

This is a message for my TAFE crew.

I have just received a phone call from the Campus suspending my services for Term 4. A review of the food and drinks requirement for the place is being done. Hopefully it might lead to the Canteen reopening, an essential service if ever there was one. But as a consequence I won’t see you in the immediate future unless things change. So sorry about that.

I just want to say a big thank you to the Campus and everyone that has supported me during my tenure at the TAFE. I shall miss you all and I hope that whatever comes along it’s a positive time full of good things. Thanks again for everything.

Take care and stay safe. Until the next time.

Richard

15/09/2022

Hello coffee faithful

So much for going out today. It went from patches of blue sky at my first stop to torrential rain before my second stop.
Really sorry about this but rain has stopped play.
Have a good day whatever you are up to. I shall see you in a couple of weeks as I am taking a break during school holidays.
Take care and I will see you after the Queens Birthday long weekend.

15/09/2022

Hello coffee faithful

Don’t ask me about the weather cos I have no idea. I am going to come out and play. Not sure how far I’ll get but I’m going to give it a go.
Wishing us all luck and good times. Hope to see you soon.

12/09/2022

What an absolute joy it’s been, serving these fit folk for the past four years at VIBE Fitness Studios. Keep up the good the good work.

08/09/2022

Hello coffee faithful

It’s with great reluctance that I say I’m not going out today. I had hoped that the rain would move on, but the radar picture is not positive.
We even have thunder happening here in Raceview.
So sorry about the inconvenience but it’s a no go for Friday.
Take care if you are out in the rain and I will see you all next week.

08/09/2022

Hello coffee faithful.

The promised rain is coming in. I’m hoping it’ll keep on going through during the night and be gone by morning.
I’ll post an update Friday if the weather isn’t good as to my operational status.
Fingers crossed. Stay dry.
