Todays wedding cake - inspired by ✨
It’s been a hell of a week, everything was going smoothly and I was on track and somewhere between Thursday and now it all derailed, there were tears, sleepless nights and a lot of stress but I’m so close to the finish line now and feeling a lot calmer.
Some weeks are easy, some are harder, all of them teaching valuable life lessons and allowing me to grow as a person and a business. Feeling tired but grateful 🥲

A Life Long Passion
Hi there! My names Lindsey and I'm the owner/operator of River City Cakes, a fully licenced, homebased business offering beautifully customised wedding cakes, celebration cakes, cookie cakes, cupcakes and baked goods.
River City Cakes is a dream a long time in the making. My Father and Grandfather were both Pastry Cooks, running a very successful traditional style bakery called Partridge's Quality Cakes in Culburra Beach, a small country town in Southern NSW for over 40 years.
I've grown up around cakes my whole life, working (and I use the term loosely!) in Dad's shop from as early as my memory can serve me, it's practically in my blood. So it seemed only fitting to continue on the family tradition of baking exceptional quality cakes in a slightly less traditional way! I mean, I don't recall seeing any ombre pink cakes, topped with florals and all sorts of yummy treats in Dad's shop, but maybe I wasn't paying attention? My Dad's my hero and my mentor, every thing I know about baking and owning and running a business is a credit to him and to share the same passion (and recipes) really is a dream come true.
