Property Maintenance Assistant

The Role
Due to an increase in maintenance demand, we are seeking an additional person in our team for maintenance duties along side our maintenance manager.
The role will involve repairs to residential and commercial properties, cleaning tasks and general run about assistant duties on a daily basis in a very busy environment.
Teamwork and communication is essential in this role to work as a united team
Flexible hours is a must as you will need to be available between the hours of 6am - 6pm Monday to Saturday on a casual basis.

Skills and requirements
* Experience in maintenance and using tools
* The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills and be enthusiastic and willing to learn, physically and mentally fit and able to take direction and tasks at hand all the while taking a clear, calm and efficient approach to their day to day duties.
* Drivers licence
* Must have own and reliable transport.
* Communication and team work in a small busy team is a must for the role
* Own tools is a advantage

Example of daily tasks-
Changing/ fixing locks
Hanging doors
Installing screens
Painting (general)
Cleaning gutters
Patching walls.. if it breaks in the house, Spot On Property Maintenance fixes it.

I came across an oven cleaning hack and thought I would give it a go.

Oven-
X2 wet microfiber cloths
Squeeze a 10c piece size of dishwashing liquid onto the wet cloth
Wipe over oven with cloth
Wipe over the oven to remove suds with 2nd wet microfiber cloth
Wipe over oven with dry microfiber cloth
-EASY-

Racks-
Put racks in bath tub
Sprinkle racks with Vanish/ Nappy Sand
Full tub to just over racks with hot water
Let soak for 1hr
Use steel wool to rub off excess grime
Empty bath and rinse racks

I came across an oven clean “hack “ and thought I would give it a go.

Racks-
Put oven racks in your bath tub
Sprinkle racks with Vanish/ Nappy Sand
Fill bath to just over racks with hot water
Soak for an hour
Remove each and wipe down with cloth (I used steel wool)
Remove water and rinse

Oven-
X2 Wet microfiber cloths
Sq**rt dish washing liquid directly onto the cloth (10c piece size)
Wipe over oven
Use 2nd wet microfiber to rince out the suds
Use dry microfiber clothes to dry the oven

This is a quick and easy way to keep up the maintenance without having to do a full, toxic oven clean.
