Perspective Dining
A restaurant run by Chef Andrew McCrea, an intimate space , pretty much in the kitchen with only 14 seats . Scott was a bit sceptical when I told him with amazement that I’ve booked us in for dinner at a place where the chef has just 6% vision. He thought he would be bumping into the tables. He still doesn’t believe it, thinking it might be 60%
The meals were so beautifully presented with so many flavours and textures in each meal. So much skill and thought into each dish and produce is locally sourced ! To dine here is a foodies dream. He referenced each meal with a memory from his childhood which gave the experience a very personal touch with a little humour.
Thanks very much Chef Andrew !
Izayaka Publico
Very cool Japanese restaurant , tucked away at the bottom of a boutique hotel at the top of turbot st
Highly recommend! It’s got a great feel, a bit arty, and a hidden doorway! The food was also delicious.
We had Hay Seared Wagyu, which was new to all of us .
Exhibition Restaurant
Oh, what a treat!
From the minute you walk to the stairs that lead down to the dimly lit dining area, you feel like you’re in for an experience to remember. And we were not disappointed!
The first course consisted of 9 ( yes 9) little bite sized morsels of deliciousness . They were perfectly made and assembled. All beautiful little works of art.
By the 4th course I was concerned that I was going to walk away hungry , but after finishing the second ( yes, second) dessert, I couldn’t fit another thing in . The portion sizes were perfect.
So many delicate flavours combined in an interesting way, but not too interesting , if you know what I mean. It was a dining experience to remember.
I highly recommend
Thank you Chef Tim Scott , for creating this experience for many to enjoy.
Thanks to the lovely girls at Salt Flakes who gifted me a voucher to this fabulous restaurant for Christmas last year

Today ends another week of cooking for The Hervey Bay School of Yoga. The retreat , held in Woodgate every year is the highlight of my working year! Clean food, quiet and calm beach living, all orchestrated by Polly who is great to work with. It seems to constantly attract an interesting and lovely group of students. We’re in Gladstone for a 50th and came to the Yacht Club for lunch. The fish of the day is CORAL TROUT! How could I go past that!
Best fish n chips I’ve ever had. 2 large thick pieces of coral trout in a crispy Panko crumb and I swapped a piece of the battered fish with my hunny bunny, ( both Crispy and delicious) served with a very nice Mediterranean salad consisting of sun dried tomato, olives, feta, capsicum , the “home made “ tartare says was a bit bland but it didn’t matter cause the fish was so good . Couldn’t finish the meal. All for 30 bucks
Thank you very much Gladstone Yacht Club .
