Pasifika Round, Old Boys Day, and 200th for Machon - This picture wraps up all 3! Welcome back Manu Samoa, Saracens and Moorabbin Old Boy Star Theo McFarland - Good to have you to celebrate this weekend.

The 1st ever Pasifika Round between Moorabbin and Endeavour Hills Rugby Union Football Club at Keys Rd. This is a celebration of Pasifika Culture within the two clubs, such a rich history of Pasifika people across all levels - Represented over 70% of players here in Victoria - So why not celebrate to!!

Special day also for Machon Samu who will celebrate his 200th 1st Grade appearance! This is a significant day for Machon as he achieves this great milestone with his continued commitment, leadership and loyalty at the club, and what a day to do it - As Moorabbin also holds their Annual "Rams Old Boys Day" too.

There will be "Island Food" from 12pm for sale through the canteen - MUSIC, DRINKS, and a great battle between two great clubs.

Our 1sts managed to jump out to an early lead by half time, but they couldn't shake Footscay who kept chipping away at the lead all day. Moorabbin scraped home with a 3 point margin to secure the much needed win. It was also great to have Tony Lamborn back out on the paddock with the team again.
You can still see the match on the Rugby Vic FB page if you missed out and remember next week is a Bye with Round 2 starting with a home match against Endeavour HIlls on the 15th of June.

Our 2nds were under the pump from the start and fought on for the full 80 minutes, but Footscray showed why they are sitting comfortably in 3rd place on the ladder.

Our 3rds took the game to Footscray with some good early work, but let it slip away as the Doggies kept the pressure up.

It was a mixed bag of results for our Seniors yesterday with the 2nds and 3rds going down to Footscray while our 1st grade stepped up to take the win by a narrow margin.
The next game will be on the 15th of June when Endeavour Hills will travel to Keys Rd for round 2 of the season.

The 1sts hit the field running and it was a close match, but keeping true to their form from last week when they downed Harlequins, Power House played the full 80 minutes to complete a successful day for them at Keys Road. Our boys regroup to face Footscray this weekend out at Henry Turner Reserve.

The club put down a hangi last Saturday as part of the Jack McDavitt Day celebrations and we'd like to thank everyone for all the hard work to make it happen. In particular the Tipene family for leading the way as they have done for many years at Moorabbin.

Jack McDavitt Day was a wonderful reason for our long time members to get together to enjoy an afternoon of good food, conversation and rugby. The club was fortunate to have both Geoff Parling and Nemani Nadolo as guest speakers as well as Councillor Hadi Saab from the City of Kingston.

Yesterday we celebrated Jack McDavitt day with a lunch and a hangi and some tough club rugby. Power House traveled to Keys rd and swept the points for the day. Our boys head back to the training track to prepare for away matches against Footscray next week.

The Hangi is in the ground, the Jack McDavitt Day lunch is underway and we are heading for the 1st grade match in an hour. Get down to Keys rd for some top flight rugby and a great feed.

It was a big day at Moorabbin last Saturday with every team from U6 up to our 1st grade playing at home. Thankfully the weather was kind and it was a great day of rugby for the club. Our Senior teams worked hard and were very happy to take the points in all 3 grades. This weekend we prepare for another home match at Keys Road against Power House for Round 6 of the competition. We will also be celebrating Jack McDavitt day with a ticketed lunch ($30 per person) and a hangi laid down by the Tipene family.
