The BRIEF
Create a full profile of Ronnie the Robot to be included into a Year 1 mathematics lesson. The top view needs to be placed into a gridded map for students to describe the path the robot takes while making deliveries around the school. The colours need to stand out and the front of the robot needs to be obvious.

Lower Murray Water provides water services to the northwest of Victoria. Part of their role is to develop educational resources for primary school students to increase awareness and understanding of river systems, water treatment processes, the water cycle and the wonders of water.

Nikki M Group worked with Lower Murray Water to design and illustrate a card game called Memory. The card game aims to teach students water-saving tips.

Ashley Chau created the illustrations using traditional coloured-pencil drawing techniques that are specifically crafted to resonate with younger audiences.

Design: Northern Australia Resources Map
Services: Design 

Northern Australia Resources Map covers a vast area. The map was created as a large format, A0 size, poster and is designed for Cambridge Gulf Limited (CGL).

CGL offers an international supply chain link for the resources and agricultural industry in the ‘top end’ of Australia. They operate out of Kununurra, Wyndham, Gove and Weipa.

CGL manages Wyndham Port, which is the only deep-water port between Broome and Darwin and is a vital link within Northern Australia’s primary and secondary industries’ supply chains. 

The Northern Australia Resources Map was created to aid operations in transportation, warehousing and logistics in road, rail, sea and air.

The map is unique in that it combines geographic information system (GIS) data from three states: Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. 

The map crosses three time zones and includes:

• an index of mine sites and resource companies
• resource index showing resource status and types
• roads, cities and towns with size and population
• journey distance and times tables
• inset map of Kununurra and the Ord Irrigation Area
• local area index of businesses
• scale and grid coordinates
• geographic features and terrain
• latitude and longitude.
