About Kangaroo Valley Pastured Eggs

Our mission is to ‘be an industry leader in sustainable ethical egg production, producing a premium product from happy hens’.  

So much love and care goes into producing each dozen eggs here on farm.
 
Our birds are fed a specialised diet for hens living on pasture, as a result they have bright (but varied) yolks due to the differing amounts of forage each individual bird eats. We don’t add anything extra to our product to form the colour. We don’t use antibiotics in the feed, and all feed is GMO free.
 
Our stocking density is one of the lowest in the industry with only 40 hens per hectare, this ensures each bird has access to soooo much space to roam and scratch around in.

Our birds are moved through the pasture every week to make sure they have lots of fresh terrain, bugs and grass to eat. The eggs are collected by our staff, by hand, daily and packed and processed on the day.

We are the only farm in Australia that includes a laid on date on our eggs so everyone can see just how fresh they are. Because eggs have such a long shelf life, they can sit in your producers cool room for weeks before they send them out the door.

We don’t do this, because we know how important a fresh egg is and we believe that transparent farming is an essential component of running an ethical farm.
