Congratulations Malik, Mitch and Brett. Great job guys, what a team 👌
What an awesome week and a great bunch of divers. A few challenges were had but with good mindsets and lots of pre course dives and preparation there was nothing that couldn’t be overcome. Congratulations to Anita Futterer, Jason Wallace, Levi Bateman, Mark Sutcliffe and Bradley Alldritt on achieving their combined CDAA Advanced Cave and TDI Full Cave with Garinda Dive.
And todays dive is a recovery of a sunken yacht in port fairy with Linda

The scene is set Merry Christmas to all

Happy divers in Tank Cave Matt and Corey exploring the never ending tunnels of Tank
Congratulations Matt Gebert and Corey Auld on successful completion of your combined CDAA Advanced Cave /TDI Full Cave courses. You practiced often, worked hard and performed well. You were strong independently, looked after each other as a team and cared for the cave / now it is time to reap the rewards. Congratulations and enjoy the new sites that you now have access to.
What an incredible 4 days- 100 km gusts of wind, hail, horizontal rain and the occasional glimpse of sunshine but these 4 divers braved it all. Well prepared (at least for the skills if not the weather) they worked really well both as individuals and in teams. Congratulations Nancy, Ellyse, James and Mick on the successful completion of their combined CDAA Cave and TDI Intro to Cave courses with Garinda Dive
Woohoo, another CDAA Basic Cave course done and dusted… well , there wasn’t a lot of dust but there was much rain, thunder and lightning, marauding bovines, wetsuits (🥶) slippery limestone and 13 degree water to contend with. Congratulations to Lachy Whitford, Callum Whitford (2nd generation cave divers👌) Eamonn Deverall and Daniel Elefsen. Bit of history- the Whitford brothers dad did his Cat 2 cert back in the early 90’s and Daniel did his OW training with me 21 years ago out of Port MacDonnell.
These guys had a lot to contend with between adverse conditions and borrowed equipment as well as undertaking the CDAA training and despite these challenges (and they were challenged!) they did an awesome job. Congratulations guys and I look forward to diving with you all again 👌
30 years between them both taken at engelbrechs cave. Got to have a look in the new eastern extension,Thanks Josh for finding such a cool dive.
Congratulations Jack on earning your TDI Nitrox blenders certification . well done
We have just had a lovely couple of days in Mount Gambier completing a CDAA Advanced Cave crossover course for Dave Cave. All made possible with the assistance from his Gouldens buddy - the very capable Mr. Ken Smith and Tank Cave buddy Dan Brown. Well done Hans and welcome to the CDAA and enjoy the rest of your Aussie stay.
CDAA Basic Cave weekend 1 done and dusted with some great skills demonstrated by Vicki and Sean. Lookout for part 2 in Mount Gambier SA in a few weeks. Plenty of time for a bit more practise and skill consolidation. Great work guys 👌
Welcome to Diego who commenced his CDAA journey back in 1992 with the then Cavern Sinkhole course. Fast track 30 years and he’s back to revisit those skills and add some sidemount training to the mix. Well done Diego and welcome back into the CDAA fold - was a absolute pleasure to dive with you 👌
2 trips to Mount Gambier from Brisbane, attacks by random viruses, leaking dry suits, dry suit dumps that don’t, last minute accommodation changes, buddies falling ill and having to locate a redundant one but finally…. CDAA/TDI CAVE course done and dusted. Well done Nemani, it’s been a long time coming but just deserved. Enjoy the rest of your week and I look forward to diving with you again soon.
After meeting on their CDAA Basic Cave Course Matt and Neil have explored Mount Gambiers caverns and sinkholes and decided recently to take the next step to Cave. So after 3 days of skills, drills, black outs and new dive sites they nice have a whole new collection of caves to explore. Well done guys - but it’s time to go back and actually see the caves 🫣
