To celebrate the Year of the Educator at Goodstart, and recognise our chance-makers, we’re giving Goodstart families the opportunity to nominate standout educators and recognise their incredible work. Not only will we be able to share great feedback with our educators, but it was also our educators in the running for some great rewards and recognition

What a cheeky but lovely bunch of educators I work with.
The children and educators from Maali room made me a beautiful card, the team bought me a cake which came with a lovely birthday song, an educator shouted pizza and I strangely had parents wishing me a happy birthday, which puzzled me u til I saw this sign 😂.
Thank you for brightening my day and making my heart full x

Kaya Everyone
Today was a proud moment for us at Goodstart Parmelia as we were able to fly our flags at the service. Flying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags demonstrate our recognition of First Nations peoples as it promotes a sense of community partnership and a commitment towards reconciliation
The children will have the opportunity to share in this by raising the flags in the mornings alongside their educators
Our team is excited to announce that we are a finalist in the Early Childhood Learning and Development sector awards for 'Outstanding commitment to reconciliation and cultural responsiveness' for 2024!
At Goodstart Parmelia, our vision for reconciliation is for our educators to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level, now more than ever we are creating the conditions that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social justice and equity. Through this vision, we are laying the foundations to grow future generations that value and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and history as a proud part of a shared identity.
We are proud to have an ongoing and emerging journey for our published Reconciliation Action Plan, through collaboration with our families and community. If you would like to know more, or contribute to our RAP, please contact us.
Our Educators Harpreet and Hema are currently completing their Diploma as apart of this a group of children in our Maali Room had the opportunity to go on a excursion outside the Centre
During this they collected flowers and leaves in their buckets from the front of the Service as the educators spoke about sustainable practices
