⭐️Meet Taryn!⭐️

AF Launceston were privileged enough to have Taryn Dickens in club this week! 💜
Taryn is still currently serving as an Able Seaman in the Australian Navy, not only that but she is also an absolutely inspiring athlete!
Taryn is a Para Biathlete and cross country skier with hopes to become a Paralympian as the first Australian vision impaired athlete to compete in a Para Biathlon & Cross-Country skiing. Another massive feat is that Taryn is the first Australian Female on the Para Nordic scene! 💜

In May 2019, she was diagnosed with degenerative cone rod dystrophy, a condition that covers the retinas and stops the eyes from functioning. Since then she has received an assistance dog with the help of the Defence Bank Foundation and Defence Community Dogs. Gigi, a seven-year-old chocolate Labrador, has allowed her to be more independent and is by her side every day 🐕 - You can see Gigi in our last post!!💜

Gigi and her owner visited Anytime Fitness Launceston yesterday and Everyone fell in love with this gorgeous face!
Gigi is a dog with a very important job to look after her owner and keep her safe, and she did awesome in the club! Her lovely owner was amazing enough to let us take her picture to be able to share with you all!
