Important season dates 🗓️

Spring is almost here 🌼🌸🌼

That means it's the time for squid and striped trumpeter to get busy - without getting side-tracked by colourful jigs!

Spawning closures are in place during spring so these valuable species can focus on making the next generation of fish.

🗓From 1 September to 31 October inclusive:
- North Coast squid spawning closure 🦑
- Striped trumpeter spawning closure (statewide) 🐟

🗓 From 15 October to 14 November inclusive:
- South east squid spawning closure 🦑

The rock lobster season for males in the Western Region is also closed from 1 September. 🦞
