Australia's Only National Junior Tenpin Bowling program
Bowl Patrol is Australia’s only NATIONAL 'Learn to Bowl' TENPIN BOWLING program. Originally designed for primary school children - but suitable for participants of all age and ability, it's designed as an 8 week program that typically starts the second week of each term - but this can be adjusted to suit the needs of our learners. It teaches

the fundamental skills of the sport and improves co-ordination and balance. Bowl Patrol is FAST, FUN and ACTIVE and promotes skill development, a sense of achievement, socialisation and teamwork. Bowl Patrol can be utilised in the special and/or primary school environment. It may be selected by schools as part of the Australian Sports Commission's Sporting Schools program - where the full costs for the program are paid for via the Sporting Schools grant. Building towards a truly inclusive program, Bowl Patrol enjoys the partnership and support of an incredible ambassador in Jason Belmonte (http://www.jasonbelmonte.com), a World Champion bowling a little differently (like us!), as well as an array of valuable communities such as;

Special Olympics Australia who utilise our program to teach bowling and develop coaches. Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) who have been integral in developing resources to ensure a positive experience for participants with (and without) Autism. Amaze Victoria and Access for All Abilities who helped us test our resources with their communities. Keen to have tenpin bowling supported as part of your child's NDIS plan? Here's a helpful guide from Disability Sport & Recreation. Use of a Support Worker is encouraged, although we've seen this become unnecessary after a few weeks in the program. We encourage casual bowling and centre visits prior to the start of a program, we also have a range of inclusive resources to help, including a word board, visual schedule and social story all available here with the program schedule so you'll know what's happening from week to week. You can also complete our online Lane Ranger (coach or deliverer) course, roll on over to our Lane Ranger section to find out more - it will give you a better idea of the program essentials. Kids can now sign up to Bowl Patrol using state or territory funded vouchers

The voucher administration process varies from state to state, mostly, parents need to surrender the voucher to the centre or state coordinator who claim the rebate and finalise online registration. Visit our 'Contact Us' page for your state or territory coordinator. Register for a program using your voucher by completing a Registration form and emailing it to [email protected]

How to become a Lane Ranger

Lane Rangers are trained facilitators who deliver the program. They're friendly, approachable, staff who coach participants through the Bowl Patrol levels.

Lane Rangers are selected based on specific skills including tenpin bowling coaching qualifications, experience in working with children and parents, and capacity to deliver the program. They undergo specific FREE 'Lane Ranger' training equipping them with the skills and resources to run a successful program.
