Great to be back serving our customers after spending a few days in Adelaide on family matters. We will be trading over the weekend as per usual (7am - 4pm)

Most of you know that we do a lot more than just sell coffee. We are strongly engaged with our local community because we value community. Enough about us.

This week is Homeless Week and our local Councillor Tim Heenan (Tim Heenan - Billanook Ward) is sleeping outside in a cardboard box to help raise funds for the homeless.

As you know the rental crisis and cost of living crisis has meant so many more have become homeless. I understand many of you are doing it tough right now. I’m simply asking you to consider donating to this important cause. Any amount, no matter how small, will help. Your donation might help feed a hungry homeless person. All money raised goes directly to Holy Fools, a wonderful not-for-profit organisation who do amazing work helping the homeless in our community.

All donations are tax deductible and can be made anonymously.

Hey coffee fam. Sorry we couldn’t be at the Lake today. The barista spent the morning in hospital for a surgical procedure which went well. The surgeon says the future’s so bright I gotta wear shades 😎

A big thanks to Yarra Ranges Council for the new parking lines at Lillydale Lake! It’s given the main carpark a huge lift.

Good morning coffee fam! It’s minus 3.7 degrees here this morning as we scrape the ice off our table. Some of our customers are making snow men!

The good news is that we do all our hot drinks ‘extra hot’ and we only use double walled cups so the coffee stays hotter much longer. Have a great day and stay warm

It’s a cold foggy morning but the carpark is full as the park runners brave the temperature! They will be wanting their coffees once they finish. Such a great bunch.

It’s been a busy week with approximately 18 schools involved in cross country running at the Lake over 3 days. They were all primary school children so we’ve been servicing both parents and grandparents their coffees.
It’s wonderful to see families come and support the children.

Mums with prams have been some of our favourite customers and have been supporting us ever since our early days.

We love seeing them and providing their morning coffee, especially if they’ve been awake half the night! The mothers’ groups often arrange to meet at the back of the coffee van and it rolls from there.

A big shout out to Lillydale Lake parkrun who give us amazing support week in week out. We love connecting with these guys who are always relaxed despite the wait time!
This will probably be our last weekend for iced drinks until later in the year. We will however continue our natural milkshakes a bit longer due to high demand.

Our heroes today are the group that have been running around the Lake since midday yesterday and will finish at midday today. They are raising money for SAY:AU.
This morning there will many others joining them to help raise funds.

So today we will be giving 50c from every cup sold as a donation to the organisation. They have been running all through the night and are inspirational!

We’re coming to the end of our peak season with school holidays ending and temperatures lowering. The Waterpark will soon be turned off for winter.
It’s been hard work for us but at the same time very fulfilling supplying the Lake with their much needed coffees!

This means we will soon be ceasing our iced drinks and milkshakes until warm weather returns. Our natural milkshakes have been a big hit over summer with many repeat customers.

Everything else will continue as usual. Same barista, same coffee, same service.

So sad to hear of the passing of Bev Brock, former wife of the late Peter Brock. We had the privilege of meeting Bev at a Holden event back in 2019 where we provided coffee for the Torana Club.

Hey coffee fam. We had a big weekend at Lillydale Lake with thousands coming through for the final OXFAM trailwalker event. We traded until midnight on Friday and drove away at 1-30am! Then after 2hrs sleep returned at 6am Saturday for the 25km and 50km walkers and support crews as well as the weekly park runners.
Then back again for our normal full trade on Sunday. Really needed our Monday off!

A big shout out to all OXFAM participants and organisers. Incredible effort for the very last event. We had the privilege of supplying coffees for 3 OXFAM events in recent years and each one was special.

Sorry we are unable to trade today. The forecast winds are simply too strong and it becomes too difficult to make coffee in our exposed position. Will see you all tomorrow ✔️

Today is the big event from 12 - 4pm at the lake. Live bands, free food and drinks. Should be a sensational day! Shout out to the organisers Lilydale Township Action Group who have worked hard to organise this community event. And as always we are here to provide coffees for the community.
