Effects of cyber attack on Nine set to linger

Happy Monday All!

The feedback we often receive from clients when talking about their risk of Cyber Attacks is that they "have antivirus and firewalls" or "the IT department has it covered". The reality is that as good as our trusted IT partners and the defensive software get, the hackers get better.

The recent attack on Channel 9 is a another reminder that that no one is immune. While we're yet to find out exactly how this was able to happen, we need to remember how important it is to have good systems in place as a first line of defence and a good Cyber Insurance policy as the last!

We hope channel 9 manages to get everything sorted. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the week.

Effects of cyber attack on Nine set to linger While the attack on Nine Entertainment’s North Sydney headquarters has the appearance of ransomware, it has not received any demands. The reason for the attack is also unclear.
