Due to a large gaggle of people that are keen to watch an instrumental game of football today in the bar we thought it best to cancel today’s open mic as it could get rowdy. Game starts at 3.20. So come and enjoy the game with us over a beer. I’m thinking complementary party pies and bar snacks.

We are honoured to be hosting two-up in support of the ANZAC Appeals fundraising for veterans welfare to assist the Maldon RSL sub branch.

9.00 am the fish shop will open. Enjoy an egg and bacon burger and coffee for $10.00

12.00 pm The Blue Cockatoo Bar opens with happy hour $5.00 pots

12.30pm Two-up school begins with the authentic two-up kip made by the Maldon RSL sub branch with a 1913 and a 1919 penny being auctioned at the conclusion of the session.

All are welcome, so if you have never played two-up before enjoy the guidance of our MC and we shall see you Thursday.

Live music this Friday and Saturday night. Fish and chips available until 7.30 with pizza cooking until late. So if the bar is still open you won’t go hungry

Brent Clark will be putting his spin on modern classics with his guitar and sax and his creamy soulful voice. last time Brent played here we all thought every song was his grand finale until he played another. Can’t wait to see him again tonight at 6.30. Then Saturday night from 7pm James Macer is back.

What a stinker of a day, we have The Jonesy Experience playing here tonight from 7 pm. The beer is cold and the couch is comfortable. At the secret bar behind the fish and chip shop.

This weekend at the secret bar behind the fish and chip shop at 10 Main Street, Maldon we have two incredible performers lined up. Friday night local A lister, Grim Fawkner, will be kicking of at 7 pm then on Saturday night, Michelle Parsons from 7 pm.
