“Nothing changes if nothing changes” - Simple enough, right?!
Such a good reminder coming into the new biz year!
If you don’t put in the work & show up for yourself, how do you expect things to be any different than how they are now? 🤔
Whether that means you're over working yourself and need to consider outsourcing or you need that push to take the extra step in your business, only you can make the decision to change your life from what it is now to where you want to be.
Unfortunately, there are no school holidays in business! If you're tired and overworked now, it's going to stay that way if you don't consider ways to streamline your workload or free up your time!
Remember, you can do anything but you can't do it all!
Something to think about 💭🤍
Brief: Vibrant Nest
We put together this case study for a (fake) homewares business specialising in colourful living.
Working with a lot of colour can be tricky (think: too many clashing tones and prints). For this brand, we've put together some basic marketing including a 3x3 Instagram feed example that lets the products to the talking.
This is a great way to set the tone for your social media marketing and will give you something to reflect on when deciding what to post! I offer this service to any client looking to launch a new IG account or refresh an existing one.

If you have an upcoming project and need guidance in graphic design, marketing and planning, I can help! There is nothing inherently wrong with working on the weekends as long as we make time for ourselves at some point in the week. Work-life balance is crucial for maintaining good mental and physical health, as well as overall happiness and well-being. When we work too much and don't make time for rest, relaxation, and other activities that bring us joy, we can quickly become burnt out and stressed.
Ultimately, work-life balance is about more than just the time we spend on the clock; it's about creating a fulfilling and enjoyable life outside of work as well.
This is where outsourcing comes in! If you find yourself working through the week, only to spend the weekend catching up on...more work, then you might need to reconsider how you manage your time. Send me a DM or book a free discovery call via the link in my bio to learn how i can help!
Big week! 🙃
Starting my business has been really exciting but definitely challenging! Finishing this week off on a high and am excited to see what's in store for next week. My biggest goal when leaving the corporate world and transitioning to freelancing and VA was to be able to enjoy work again and it's finally happening!
This is your sign that with a good work-life balance, you can feel the same way :)
Have a great weekend! X
Been a bit unwell over the last few days so haven’t been spending much time online. Thought this might be a fun time to share a design project I worked on a while back 💕
These artworks were created in illustrator, which I love using! Definitely my favourite from the adobe suite.
Don’t forget, a virtual assistant can help you and your business in a variety of ways! Whether that’s graphic design, marketing, business management, admin…you name it! Follow the link in my bio to find out more :)
success isn't just about making the right decisions; it's also about overcoming the fear of failure. We often think that failing is a bad thing but there are so many positives that can come from taking a step in the wrong direction.
Many business owners have ideas that could scale their income and bring in new clients, yet they're scared to execute them. Investing in your business, whether that's through outsourcing, learning a new skill or spending time on non-revenue tasks takes time. Just as investing in shares doesn't work over night, it is important to remember that business growth is the same. We are so quick to say that we have failed, rather than trust the process. In doing so, we lose the opportunity to pick up on small wins while also recognising losses and adapt accordingly.
Overcoming the fear of failure is essential for anyone who wants to run a successful business. Here are some strategies that can help:
Instead of seeing failure as a negative outcome, view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Each failure can be seen as a stepping stone towards eventual success.
Rather than worrying about things that are out of your control, focus on the things that you can. Set clear goals, develop a plan, and take action towards achieving those goals.
Take time to visualize what success would look like for you. This can help to shift your mindset from fear to excitement, and can provide motivation to keep going when things get tough.
Connect with other entrepreneurs who have been through similar experiences, and seek out mentors who can provide guidance and support.
Break your goals down into smaller, more manageable steps. By taking small, achievable actions towards your goals, you can build momentum and gain confidence over time.

You may be wondering how it looks to work 'side by side' with someone who is working remotely. Email trains can become messy and information can get lost along the way. When you choose to outsource, you want the process to be simple so you don't spend hours filing through old emails in search of information or trying to explain what needs to be done. This is why I like to use task management tools to manage workflow and communicate with clients. I personally love Asana but there are a number of different options out there that you may be more familiar with.
Asana is great because it allows you and your client to deligate tasks, set deadlines, share files and manage communication based on that specific task. Email and phone communication certainly still has it's place, but I find this is the best way to ensure both my clients and I are on the same page about what needs to be done and when, while also keeping record of any important information or feedback.
Task management is included in all of my packages so that we can work seamlessly together right from the get go. Send me a DM or book a free discovery call to learn more.
“You can do anything but you can’t do everything”
Here are five things about social media that you may not want to hear but are important to remember:
Social media is not a magical place where you can share a few posts and your business will flourish. It takes time and alot of commitment to build a srong social media presence. We're talking posts, stories, advertising, engagement, research and constant adaptation.
It's not as 'free' as you think it is. Although social media is a cost effective way to advertise your business, there may be a time when you need to put money behind your posts and ads. More importantly, to run a successful business you need to understand that time is money and your time is not free! Investing in social media will scale your business and boost KPI's when done correctly.
It's not going anywhere. People are always ageing, meaning that even if your audience is not entirely on socials now, future generations will be. Brands who invest in a solid social media strategy now will come out on top both now and in the future.
It's important to have a strategy. If you're posting without a reason 'why', your online presence will be messy and unclear. Start by defining your goals, rather than posting aimlessly.
Building a relationship with your audience is important, but if you're not offering them anything of value, this wont account to sales.

Looking for a VA? Introducing...me! And everything I can do for you.
I'm Alecia, 29, and currently living in Melbourne. I've listed a few fun facts about myself in one of my earlier posts so here is a bit more about what services I offer through my online business.
I'm a Virtual Assistant specialising in graphic design, Pinterest and social media managaement but there is so much more that I can do for you and your business. As a creative, I fully undertstant the battle that comes with focusing on your craft while also managing admin tasks such as emails, bookings, general admin and marketing. Not only does this limit the time you can spend creating but it also impacts on your work life balance. Spending your nights and weekends working on non-creative tasks catches up with your mental health...and fast!
This is where outsourcing can help you regain that time and let you focus on the things that matter the most. Without clients your business will fail, yet managing those clients is what stops your business from growing. You may think you can "find" extra hours in the day by prioritising work but in reality, you're just buying into time that should be spent sleeping or socialising.
Whether you're looking for remote assistance for just 3 hours a week or a full blown sidekick, I can help you! Send me a DM or book a free chat via the link in my bio!
How are you spending your weekend? If you're spending the time catching up on emails or work from the week, maybe it's time to reconsider your work life balance!
If you've taken time off during the week or run a business that thrives over the weekends, it's okay to work whenever it suits you best. But if you're using your personal time to simply stay afloat, you're going to become burnt out (if you haven't already). Needing to outsource tasks is not a sign of failure, it's a sign that your business is growing!

Two posts about Pinterest in less than 48 hours... I must really love it. And it’s true, whether im looking to shop or spend hours mindlessly scrolling, Pinterest is always my top pick. More importantly, there is so much potential for businesses to scale their income and increase website visits when using the app correctly.
Both Instagram and Facebook claim to tailor your feed to suit your interests but do they really? How often are you scrolling through IG and find yourself bombarded with ads and posts that you either don’t care about or feel impact your experience negatively? Pinterest is able to figure out what you love and truly tailor the experience to YOU.
8 in 10 people say that they use Pinterest to feel positive whereas only 3 in 10 say that of other social media platforms. Research has shown that positivity directly impacts customer brand perception. That is, if a brand shows up next to negative content, people assume that the brand has endorsed it.
TLDR: Positivity pays off.

"Pinterest is a one-stop shop for inspiration, new products and new possibilities."
With over 400 million users worldwide, Pinterest is NOT a tool to be sleeping on, yet it is something that is often overlooked by businesses because they simply do not have the time or the know-how. Research shows that a vast majority of people on the app come with the intention to shop and as a result, end up spending more than on other platforms.

Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important. Did you know you can regain your work-life balance through outsourcing?
Play to your strengths…and let me do the rest!
There are so many tasks that can be outsourced to a virtual assistant. You might be a pro at designing products or communicating with customers but struggle to find the time for marketing yourself or your business. Or, maybe you love social media but are unsure how to use other platforms like Pinterest. Whatever the task is, hiring a VA can help you earn more while doing less.

When it comes to building a strong social media presence, having a lot of followers just isn't enough! If you want your content to be seen, engagement is everything.
Many brands think social media is all about sharing content but that's only half the battle. The second half is building a community through connecting and engaging with your audience. Engagement with your network can generate sales, email signups, website visits, and so much more. It's all about forming relationships with people who might become customers in the future!
In saying that, this is something that so many business owners and creatives struggle to find time for. This is where I can help! Send me a DM or book a free discovery call via link in my bio.

Knowing if and when it's time to hire a virtual assistant can be tricky. When you've spent time and money developing a business, it's normal to have hesitations when it comes to outsourcing.
