Thanks to Dunkin Des, we have the updated ladder positions after Round 6 of the FFCC regular season. Remember: players 1-8 make the singles finals and players 9-24 qualify for the multiplayer finals at our December event!! We can’t wait to see which names will be etched onto our perpetual trophies!! 🎉

It was Des who stumbled upon that legendary ‘Shut Up and Sit Down’ Crokinole review on YouTube one fateful night in 2020. Inspired, he convinced his dad to craft a board and asked his friend Al-flicks to start a Crokinole night together!

Fast forward, and here we are—a thriving community asset, and the most popular Crokinole club in the Southern Hemisphere (as far as we know)!

📉 It’s half way through the Footscray Flickers Crokinole Club’s regular season, and Dunkin Des has updated the standings once again for your viewing pleasure. 👀

⏰ There’s still plenty of time to make it into the top 8 and top 16, to make the singles finals or multiplayer finals respectively in December. We love seeing this tasty tension on the ladder! 😃

At our first event of 2024, aka Round 1 of the 2024 Season, we had an impressive turnout of 48 registered flicksters! Congrats to Finger Banger, breaking his win drought last night to attain ultimate glory for the first time in a while! 🎉

👁️ 2023 Reflections 👁️

It’s been a notable year for Crokinole in Melbourne this year, with 3 major tournaments taking place. All the winners of each tournament won their title for the first time, and ‘Crok and Rolled’ their way to victory! 🏆🕺🏼

In March, the Bottom Half of the World Cup competition took place at Baba Hawker where Crokinole ambassador Al-flicks defeated Lobo in a closely contested finalé.

In October, we had our first ever PAX Melbourne Crokinole Competition, where Bav announced himself to the Crokinole world by beating Sparky in the grand final. Thanks to PAX Australia for having us!

Lastly, our Footscray Flickers Crokinole Club regular season culminated at our December finals event at Domenico's Pizza & Pastaria where Crok Clown defeated Disco Biscuits to take out the singles title, and Dwayne ‘The Crok’ Johnson won the Multiplayer Cup.

We look forward to seeing who achieves eternal glory in 2024, and cheers to a flipping fantastic year! 🍻
