WHAT IS BLACK GARLIC? Simply put, it is raw garlic aged under regulated temperature and humidity for a long period. Black garlic’s taste is out of this world.
Think of it as garlic's umami-packed cousin. It has a milder, sweeter, earthy flavour compared to that of raw garlic. The flavour of black garlic has the slight tang of tamarind or balsamic vinegar and a mild sweetness that resembles rich molasses and dates with the complexity and umami notes of soy sauce. The Black Garlic l produce is Australian grown. I do not grow it myself at this stage, and l will source organic whenever l can.
Cost is $2.00 for every 10 grams. Price is based on weight. Individual cloves and bulbs are available. Local pick up is available for prices above or local delivery will be an extra .50c for every 10 grams. Postage costs are extra.

Black garlic’s taste if out of this world. It is not roasted garlic.
Think of it as garlic's umami-packed shadow. It has a milder, sweeter, earthy flavour compared to that of raw garlic. It can be added it to pastas, soups, or stir fries; blend it into oils; mix it into dips and sauces or eat it with cheese and crackers. You can even make ice cream with it!
It keeps best in the fridge after it has been opened. Store it in an airtight container, and add a paper towel to the container so it can soak up any water that the black garlic drips out. When unopened, it can easily be kept at room temperature.
Individual cloves or whole bulbs can be purchased by weight. Price is $1.50 per 10grams of black garlic
