Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) - Live & Work in New South Wales 13/12/2019

NSW regional visa subclass 491 state nomination requirements announced. Applications open in mid-January 2020 for those who are:
• Living and working* for at least the last 12 months in regional NSW
• Outside of Australia and have a full-time job offer* in regional NSW
• Outside of Australia and have at least five years' skilled employment*
• Outside of Australia and have an immediate family member (father, mother, brother or sister who is an Australian citizen/PR or NSW nominated 489/491 visa holder) settled in regional NSW for 24 months
• Recently completed study* in regional NSW
*in your nominated occupation (or closely related occupation) which is in the relevant NSW regional occupation list

Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) - Live & Work in New South Wales The Skilled regional nominated (489) visa is a provisional skilled visa that allows you to live and work in regional NSW for up to four years.

Regional visa subclass 491 (with PR pathway) now open for Queensland state nomination application from business operators residing in regional Queensland and
• have prior business experience or qualifications to successfully run the business (or have previously been involved in a family-run business)
• be on a visa that allows full-time work and operation of the business for a minimum of 35 hours per week
• have purchased an existing business in regional Queensland (Note: not available for start-ups or home-based businesses)
• paid a minimum of $100,000 for the business
• have 100% ownership of the business (partnerships or joint ventures not eligible)
• be trading in the business for 6 months prior to application
• employ one (1) employee who is an Australian resident working a minimum of 20 hours per week
• provide evidence of sufficient settlement funds
• have a skills assessment in your nominated occupation which is on the Subclass 491 occupation list.
