Did you know that you can write your will for free?

Only a third of Australians say they'd think about including a charity in their will. Half of these people have a will.

Through our partnership with Gathered Here, we want to close this gap. Gathered Here is Australia's most trusted online will platform. Through them, you'll have access to free online wills with free unlimited updates for life!

You don't have to include a charity in your will to take advantage of this offer. Although, do consider it…

Gifts in wills make a huge difference to the work we do at Expression Australia. Without them, we wouldn't be able to invest back into our Deaf and hard of hearing community as we've done so for the last 140 years as Australia's oldest Deaf Society.

You can write your write for free through this link: https://expaus.info/iac2024ea

We've worked with Gathered Here to make this accessible for Deaf and hard of hearing people - you can find Auslan videos guiding you through this process at this link: https://www.expression.com.au/support-our-work/bequests

Writing a will can also give your loved ones financial and emotional clarity during a time of confusion. Do it for them, if not for us.

If you need more information about this, contact us at [email protected]

🧑‍🏫 Our staff interpreters Alex and Laura had a slightly different assignment today where they visited Glenroy Primary School.

Students were supported in discussing accessibility for Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind people, when you might see an Auslan interpreter, how they prepare for their jobs, followed by some interpreted role plays.

It was a huge success and students had a ball, and so did our team!

We look forward to continuing our support of Auslan in schools 🙌

Last week, Deaf Hub Bendigo and Golden Dragon Museum 金龍博物館 were proud to launch Auslan self-guided tour with thanks to funding from Telematics Trust!

The project was led by Hilary Callaghan who worked hard to make this a success.

We were lucky to have Sophie Li, co-founder of SignHow and incredible Deaf advocate at the launch. She shared her Chinese heritage with the audience prior to launching the Auslan self-guided tour.

The Auslan tour features permanent placement of QR codes linked to Auslan videos detailing the background, the history and specific details incorporated into the designs of the museum's 10 key highlight pieces. Each video features a different Deaf, HoH or CODA participant from regional Victoria, showcasing a range of signing styles.

This is now available for Deaf, hard of hearing and other people who use Auslan wanting to visit the Golden Dragon Museum in Bendigo.

For more information, check out https://www.goldendragonmuseum.org/visit/auslan-self-guided-tour/

Be sure to include this incredible museum in your next visit to Bendigo!
