Covid 19 – Helpful Information during Govt Restrictions

● Arrival appx 15 minutes prior is sufficient to check in.
● It is still a requirement to wear a facemask indoors at a Funeral Service and to
follow Vic Health Safe Distancing guidelines.
● The Service is being Livestreamed. All attending guests need to be aware
cameras show & record mourners in the chapel which the Public can view online.
● Guests will need to re-register at the Tea Rooms afterwards.
● The Café within the cemetery grounds is only open to fully vaccinated visitors

Melbourne Restrictions for Services on or after Friday June 11, 2021
We are pleased to confirm that Funeral Services have had some
restrictions eased as follows:
Up to 50 GUESTS may attend an indoor Chapel Service
Up to 50 GUESTS may also attend a Pre-booked on-site Function
Attendees must register using QR Codes to enter the Chapel and again to enter the Function Rooms. Masks must still be worn indoors.
Live Streaming is available if it has been booked by our client families.
An invitation from the family is often required, therefore it is advisable to phone us in advance of the Service date, to discuss how you can receive the link.
Travelling outside the 25km radius of your home to attend a Funeral Service is permitted, however other restrictions may apply.
To be certain you will be seated at a funeral you plan to attend, we
recommend making contact with the family first if you haven’t been
invited, while attendance restrictions continue.

If you are unwell please stay home. If you have Covid symptoms, get tested. Our staff voluntarily follow the same guidelines.
Further easing of restrictions is anticipated on Thursday June 17.

Some COVID 19 requirements at Funerals and Gatherings

Below are some ongoing changes to prepare for, given it may already be overwhelming attending the Funeral Service.

Guests are required to carry a mask
Safe Distancing is still applicable INDOORS, OUTDOORS, when
seated in the Chapel and afterwards in the Function Rooms.
However, if you live together, you can sit closer together.
Also, we would like you to be aware that attending gatherings such as a Funeral, requires registering your details for Contact Tracing.
To enter the Chapel & Function Rooms, the DHHS directive requires
the cemetery to collect your details via a QR code through your
smartphone when you arrive.
We are working through the changes too.
We are trying to minimize the disruption this can create.
