MELBOURNE! Our favourite place, our home town and our flagship event. We've absolutely loved zipping you over the Yarra throughout the past two summers. We know that you have been waiting patiently for us to return to Melbourne, and that our zipline has fast become the favourite holiday activity for so many.

But here's the bad news... Firefly Zipline will not be returning to Melbourne this summer😭

We tried hard, Melbourne, we promise! Unfortunately bridge works and a multitude of other factors have brought us to a standstill and our event is unable to proceed this year.

We're devastated to not be seeing you this year. We're making plans in other states and cities, so be sure to join our mailing list to stay in the loop. We really hope to be able to return home to Melbourne in the future.

While you can't currently see the Yarra (Birrarung) from THIS perspective for now, it's pretty cool thinking about the THOUSANDS (🤯) of people - from kids on school holidays to international visitors - we sent over the River this past summer 🙈

POST to just over a month ago when Jim Courier hung out with our Platform Crew as part of the 😎🎾

While he's a fan of a "refreshing" dip in the Yarra, being able to glide OVER it was a welcomed change 😆🔥🪰

Say what you will, but Courier seemed to think we DELIVERED a top-notch experience 😏📬

Hope you aren't COURT off guard that we're gone already... 🤫😏square

When the iconic Jim Courier did a tour of the 'World's Best' in Melbourne as part of the Australian Open, it was only right that he took on the Firefly Zipline! 🤙

We were all stoked to meet this tennis legend, and be part of his epic day seeing the very best that Melbourne has to offer. 🎾

Sid & Steve were our guys on the ground all.summer.long 😅 Yup! Even on the hottest days (& gosh darn did it get steamy!!! 🔥🔥🔥) they were working hard to ensure our Zipline was running safely & smoothly! 👏🏆

While they had a blast meeting all of you, they have well & truly deserved a MASSIVE break 😴...at least for now 😏🤫

It's a huge credit to them, as well as ALL of our Crew, who've made the Firefly Zipline experience one that's fun from start to finish for all our thrill-seeking visitors over the past few months 😎👌

Golly, we've seen / done loooooads in just a few short months:

⭐ Met TWO go-getting ladies, Lorna (92y.o) & Lois (93y.o), who prove age is merely a number 🤙

⭐ Ran inclusive Adjusted Access Sessions + had the pleasure of facilitating a bit of fun for people of all abilities like the folk from 🙌

⭐ Had visits from superstar athletes like as part of the 🎾🎥

⭐ Learned how to Zipline & look DIVINE from + in collaboration with during 👑🏳️‍🌈

⭐ Got to be the News of the Day thanks to the beyond delightful from 📺

⭐ Spent the early AM chatting about the weather on a PERFECT Melbourne morn' with the pun-tastic + crew ☀️

⭐ Got a big thumbs up from to officially launch the season! 🎊👍

👑 LEGENDS OF THE PLATFORM 👑

While there's LOADS to be thankful for this summer, one undeniably massive part of why it was such a success is our brilliant Crew ⭐

For anyone who visited us, you'd have met many of the friendly faces forming part of the Firefly Zipline Team 😆 Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback we've received, we couldn't be more grateful for having each one of them on board! ✨

A super hard part of shutting down for the season is knowing we won't be met by this bunch of brilliant folk on a daily basis in the months to come 😔

We can only hope to see them back when it's our time in the sunshine once more 😎🔥🪰square

TODAY we are wrapping up! 🙈🚪👋

What a SEASON it has been! ☀️ Rain, hail & shine *literally 😅* we've had a brilliant time meeting SO MANY of you wonderful people up on our platform! 💃🔥🪰

Our Crew has had such a fantastic time & have pretty mixed emotions as they finish their final shifts tonight 😌

Regardless, it'll be great to see loads of friendly faces - both familiar & fresh - throughout today before we bid farewell to this beautiful part of the City for another year! ✨

At one stage, she didn't think her kids would be able to do the Zipline without her being there 😔

Thankfully, the system we used for our Adjusted Access Sessions meant that not only did her kids get to Zipline with her present, BUT she got to do it too! ☺️🤙

We really strive to make what we do as accessible as possible so everyone gets a chance to have a bit of fun! ✨
