Coming into 2022 and still dreading virtual meetings? Still got staff all over the place?
Here are some reminders for how to best use Zoom for productive meetings. These are the tips we've found and used for over the years.๐
1๏ธโฃ Have a structure: agenda & objective setting
Always set and create a clear agenda and objective for the meeting. You can even send this info to your teammates before the meeting.
For regular team meetings, a huddle format is recommended. Set a day and time that your team can easily remember and save in a team calendar tool.
Also, focus on the topic at hand and avoid raising issues that do not achieve the meeting's objective. What can be done is put them in the "parking lot" for a follow-up after the meeting ends. This also avoids involving team members in a discussion that is not part of that certain topic or project.
2๏ธโฃ Utilise chat
Message your questions or responses in the chatbox to avoid overlapping audio and interrupting the speaker and communication flow.
3๏ธโฃ Keep it short
During virtual meetings, it is more difficult for us to interpret verbal cues to infer emotion which leads to zoom fatigue or the feeling of emotional exhaustion due to long periods in virtual meetings.
Hence, it is recommended to keep your meetings short and efficient. 30mins for team huddles, and 15 minutes for 1 on 1 check-in.
For longer meetings such as strategic planning, frequent breaks are encouraged, and long lunch breaks can help prevent fatigue.
4๏ธโฃ Use screen share feature
Another way to prevent zoom fatigue is by using screen share. This allows your team members to focus both on the material being presented, and non-verbal cues. It also helps get points across faster as it is easier to explain and comprehend when something is visually explained or shared.

Gone are the days where marketing is all about product or service feature selling only. The key to successfully building trust and connection with your customers is personalised content towards your target audience and buyer personas and their needs.

In 2021,52% of consumers said that watching product videos gives them more confidence in making buying decisions online.
Also according to Facebook's data, video posts gets six times more engagement than photo or link posts on average.
