Chloe talks about the horizontal rule of thirds: The aesthetic facial “rule of thirds” is a concept rooted in the study of human proportion and beauty, often attributed to Renaissance artists who sought to understand and define ideal human proportions. The rule divides the face into three horizontal sections, which are believed to represent aesthetically pleasing proportions when balanced. As Chloe mentioned we still apply this rule during a full facial consultation today. Fun fact: The origins of the rule of thirds in facial aesthetics can be traced back to the work of Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci, who studied and applied principles from the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius.
