FUKNO is s**t acid techno from a one man bush doof in rural Australia. FUKNO’s unique agitated signal distorted techno and crushed grooves redefine Australian country music, raw and rural. Fukno, also known to authorities as Rank Sinatra, Dj Rainbow Ej*******on 7U? is no spring chicken on the scene. Co-founding Sydney's infamous System Corrupt crew and head hen behind Goulburn Poultry Fanciers Society label, Fukno brings the hard acid to the yard.
Joining the fold for next Thursdays Disco Brut we have .position Military Position is the solo psychedelic death industrial act of Harriet K Morgan. With uncompromising and attitude, Miltary Positions confronts themes of death, depression and mental illness, su***de, violence and female subjugation.
Ahead of next weeks we’re excited to introduce the first act, Blood Of A Pomegranate. is the project of Armenian diasporan experimental musician Tig Harutyunyan (they/them). Tig’s music is a synthesis of Armenian folk/martial industrial/noise music encapsulating dark ambient, drone as a harsh intervention and resistance against the nation-state. No war but class war. Anarchy will win.
Who’s up for knock offs? Join me today for a dj set at from 5pm. Catering for all your electro percussive, cubist reggae and experimental psychedelic needs.
Hi all…..Since February I’ve been busy curating and hosting an experimental and diverse monthly evant called Disco Brut at Miscellania. This event showcases some of the more leftfield, explorative and obscure electronic music into the space of the club.... a space with a huge sound potential and a space to be yourself regardless of scene, genre or social expectations. This opportunity has both strengthened old friendships and created new ones and I am extremely proud of everyone that has performed, played, come along or supported in any way.
This Thursday will be the last Disco Brut for the year and it's a spectacular line up, like all the others this year and in true Disco Brut form.
See you this Thursday the 17th from 8pm at Miscellania 2/401 Swanston St Melbourne/Naarm.
Ahead of next weeks Disco Brut we’re introducing Alsi performs grinding rhythms and woozy blown out bass - all shrouded in static and howling feedback. Her beats precariously lie at the edge of coherence threatening to tumble into noise or disappear into swells of sickening bell like resonance.
A great article about council regulatory responses and the effects on Melbournes nightlife and culture….
Who decides whom the city space is for?

Killing me softly: the law chipping away at Melbourne’s nightlife by stealth It doesn’t have the profile of Sydney’s ill-fated lockout, but a long-running licence freeze is impacting Melbourne’s clubbing cachet
