Alina has played a significant part in our story. Alina kindly introduced us at our local primary school back at the start of 2021 when our kiddies were starting prep and the rest they say is history! Not sure we all appreciated what was to come!
As we all stopped and celebrated our local primary schools Mothers Day lunch🍾last week together it really sunk in how thankful we are for the connection. Timing can play such a huge part in start-up life when it comes to the formation of co-founder relationships (amongst many other things!) and we are so thankful that the ✨stars aligned✨ for us and we have been able to build together🧱

Ok… so this is kind of a big deal🤩
On Monday we kicked off the onboarding process of our Foundation Team of workchapters Experts onto the Platform😱
This is a 💥massive milestone💥 for our start-up (and we may or may not have done a “happy dance” 💃🏼💃🏼when these alerts came through to our inbox!).
The onboarding of our initial team of Employment Law and HR Experts is the step before our go-live. Yes, THE step! Over the coming weeks our Experts will be busy ✔️setting up their profiles, ✔️building out their packaged, fixed price employment law/HR services, and✔️asking a lot of questions.

workchapters was born out of a collective vision to make employment law and HR/people solutions truly accessible to businesses, all on the one easy-to-use Platform. Traditionally employment law and HR have been seen as two separate disciplines, but the neat marriage between the two is crystal clear when looking at a holistic service offering for business customers.
• How will it work?
Customers will be able to access our Platform and search a range of fixed price self-service solutions which suit a wide range of people matters businesses routinely face in Australia. City Coffee Dates☕️
Coffee dates in the Melbourne CBD, what a treat! And even more special as it was with one of our workchapters Experts who was visiting from her base on the south-east coast of NSW, along with her family.
I loved the whole experience💛
• Travelling in on the train (and arriving at Flinders Street Station without THAT sinking feeling that I was heading into an office to “work”!).
• Sitting at a cute Melbourne café ( is gorgeous – if you are in Melb go check them out) and people watching (so nice to see some hustle and bustle on the streets finally too).
• And it was work… but it certainly didn’t feel like it! I think the saying goes “Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life”.
I love that we are creating a marketplace, a real community, of like-minded Employment Lawyers and HR/People Professional who will be able to “work” from anywhere, on their terms and timeline👌🏼

We are taking a much needed break over the holidays and will be putting our out-of-offices on from tomorrow (Friday 24 December 2021) until Monday 10 January 2022 in order to spend some lovely down time with our families and friends.

workchapters 2021 Christmas Party🥂
As a new legal + HR tech startup trying to launch service lines…in a global pandemic…over the holiday season…it hardly makes sense to actually stop and step away from the never-ending to-do lists and meetings to celebrate (plus - who needs yet another event in our diaries at this stage?!).
BUT
Last week we did just that - We closed our laptops for a couple of hours, put our phones on silent and enjoyed a gorgeous lunch (while all our kids were at school, most likely covered in glitter and on a gingerbread sugar-high), celebrating how far we have come this year along with our amazing partners🥂
Our Christmas party may have been small this year, but boy are we excited to see the size of our party this time next year - Bring on 2022!
