OMG our amazing Sweet September show is TOMORROW at Storyville ! Andddd we’re super excited to welcome back Christina Schmidt 🤩

Christina is a stand-up comedian from Melbourne who’s been described as “delightfully awkward”. She was a 2022 Victorian RAW Comedy state finalist and part of the hit Melbourne International Comedy Festival show Breast of the Fest. Christina has established herself as an exciting up and coming comedian, performing regularly across Melbourne. Her comedy is surprising and unique, but in a good way.

We’re getting closer to our amazing August fundraiser for Olive Kids this Thursday the 29th at Storyville ! We’re super excited to welcome back Sonia Di Iorio .

Sonia is rapidly becoming one of Australia’s finest comics. She has opened for Ronny Chieng and Tommy Little, performed at Splendour in the Grass and writes for Network Ten's 'The Project'. For over ten years she has performed at comedy clubs around the country, as well as festivals including Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth FringeWorld, Darwin Fringe and more.

Sonia is an absolute killer and you need to see her live to see why!

We are SO lucky to have Nelly Thomas with us for our August fundraiser for Olive Kids at Storyville . Nelly is all kinds of cool and amazing who doesn’t often do local lineup shows these days (because she’s busy doing cool and amazing things) but who will be gracing our stage on August 29 and we CANNOT WAIT!

Nelly Thomas is a multi-talented, award-winning Australian comedian, author and broadcaster. She is also well-known for her media commentary, speaking and expert facilitation. Nelly started in stand-up comedy in 2002 by accident after years working in the community and education sectors. She won the National Raw Comedy Competition in 2003 (just because she could).

In 2022 Nelly launched the smash-hit podcast The Single Life of Us. In 2023 she launched a new podcast sensation: Dear Nelly - s*x, relationships and dating on the other side of 40 to similar acclaim. She has also written some books and is very likely in the midst of creating a fuel alternative (okay we kid but seriously is there anything this woman cannot do?).

We are quivering with excitement to see Nelly live with our other amazing acts .

We could not be more thrilled to have the absolutely hilarious Mazz Matta .matta with us on our August 29 fundraiser for Olive Kids at Storyville !

Originally from Lebanon, Mazz moved to the USA at age 7 and to Australia at age 17.
Mazz Matta, pronounced Mazz Matta, is an artist and comedian who does things in an Unorthodox way, despite being raised Orthodox. His style can be best described as funny. Which is weird for a prop comic, but miracles happen. Especially if he has anything to do with it.

You will be ROFLing and LOLing and LMAOing. Guaranteed.

Our next performer for our amazing August 29th fundraiser for Olive Kids at Storyville is the one and only Janty Blair who says Galangoor Djali (hello)!

Janty’s original name is Janet but everyone calls her Janty (rhymes with Aunty). She is a proud Butchulla, Mununjhali and Woppaburra woman (mum’s side) and Cobble Cobble and Wakka Wakka on dad’s side. She’s a Naarm-based comic and a burgeoning playwright who took home the Deadly Funny Grand Final 2022. Much of her professional life has been dedicated to working with her Mob in the healthcare sector across remote, rural and urban settings as a nurse and midwife.

She’s one of the most exciting standup comics in the country at the moment and you need to see her in action.

Han Arbuthnott is a standup comedian who moonlights as an aspiring boyband superstar. Their very successful debut solo show How To Shave has been described as “queer joy personified”, “effortlessly funny and super endearing ”, and “so smart but so dumb”. Han has opened for Hannah Gadsby among other very cool things they’ve been up to.

Rose Bishop is a stand up comedian and writer who grew up in a shed in regional WA before making it all the way to the big smoke Melbourne. She’s a RAW Comedy national finalist. a writer and presenterand in her other life she’s a public servant but please don’t ask her to talk about that because it’s not even slightly funny and also she’s on thin ice with HR as it is.

This is one of the best lineups ever and we simply cannot wait!! 🥳

She has also done very cool TV and radio work including Metros*xual, FISK and Freshblood.
