Scared of being bullied for being q***r, and knowing others may be feeling the same,12 year old Abbie began to give out rainbow beads to others in her school. The movement quickly spread, and now people all over the world are wearing Rainbow Shoelace Beads to show their support for the LGBTQI+ community.

The Rainbow Shoelace Project is a simple way to make a big difference. When you wear rainbow shoelaces, you are sending a message of love and acceptance to the LGBTQTIA+ community. You are also helping to create a more inclusive world for everyone.

Today is Neighbour's Day, a national movement to encourage inclusion and connection. In celebration we are showing the love to our neighbours, like local heroes Altona North Primary School.
