Armoracia rusticana aka Horseradish

Anti inflammatory, diuretic & antiseptic. It is a powerful stimulant ! Boosts circulation (think arthritic conditions) & clears mucus (boy does it do this) also aids in metabolism, helps digestion and supports immunity.

WARNING though ! I planted this teany tiny seedling a few years back and it’s gone everywhere. EVERYWHERE !Could possibly break your back harvesting and when making the paste, it’s so pungent you need some protective eyewear but apart from these unfortunate gems it’s a winner on veggies, baked potatoes meats, fish, eggs and a just about anything you would use a peppery garnish for 💕

The following week/end will be filled with Zenthai Shiatsu structural bodywork training so the space will be closed from Thursday 13th April until Tuesday 18th April. These trainings always inspire me to dive deeper into my practice and I look forward to bringing more structural techniques & movements to the treatments.

~ Update ~

As we embark on this new years journey natuRemedies is continuing to evolve and change. This year I will be diving deeper into more ZenThai Shiatsu trainings to sprinkle into my treatments. This structural and energetic therapy weaves Acupressure, Thai massage, Osteopathic techniques & Yoga Asana, all beautifully interlaced together with mindfulness at its core. These treatments somatically reconnect the body & mind & are deeply restorative. This form of bodywork infuses the 5 Element theory of Chinese Medicine to support nervous system regulation treating musculoskeletal pain & discomfort. It allows more fluidity & movement into the body relaxing tight fascial tissue & easing tension. I look forward to bringing more of these techniques & teachings into the natuRemedies space for you.

The trainings will take me away from the clinic at certain times, as such I will be opening some Sunday sessions throughout the year for availabilities.

Drying these beautiful Melissa leaves and chamomile flowers for tea. Both of these special herbs are calminative nervines which basically means they are lovely to drink before bed for a deep restorative sleep 💕I have been growing these plants for the last few months and patiently waiting for my new drying rack to arrive ! Just in time, life is good 😊

A cheeky broccoli 🥦 salad with feta, berries and lime 💕

The Goji berry aka Lycium Barbarum a widely used Traditional Chinese medicinal herb used for thousands of years.

What is now know as a super food it contains many nutrients, vitamins and plant fibres. As a fruit is interestingly high in protein but with the benefits of rich reds indicating the high antioxidant components that help strengthen immune function. Strangely Gojis contain 18 amino acids including those pesky 9 essential ones which is really unusual for plant based foods to have a complete protein profile. This makes it great for muscle health & cellular repair. It is also antimicrobial, anti cancer, anti inflammatory, neuroprotective, prebiotic, gut enhancing, obesogenic and contains zeaxanthin which is retinopropective !

Talk about a superfood !
