Thank you to everyone who joined us for “Cabaret Unscripted” over our unforgettable 11-night run.
Each night was uniquely special, crafted together with our audience. We’ve had countless amazing moments connecting and sharing stories with you. 🌟
None of this would have been possible without the incredible help of Ronn Kurtz , Sheng Yi Lee , and also Patti Stiles, who has guided myself and Isabella Valette in creating bold, risky, and connected improvised performances.
We were thrilled and grateful to receive the Green Room Awards for ‘Outstanding Musical Direction’ during our run. This accolade really supports our hope to elevate and spread the magic of improvised theatre across Victoria and beyond.

🎉 What’s next?
We’re excited to further hone our skills and seek new opportunities to perform. We’re always eager for any tips or leads from other producers and artists who saw the show. Our dream is to share our craft far and wide, both nationally and internationally. 🌍

We were so excited to recieve a Green Room award last night for Cabaret Unscripted. Melbourne Unscripted was nominated for two awards, (pipped at the post for one), but were so happy to receive an award for Outstanding Musical Direction!
Isabella Valette and Greg Lavell are so grateful to the judging panel for recognising the work in our show. It is unheard of (as far as we know) for a completely improvised show to win a Green Room Award!
For Melbourne Unscripted, our core goal is create high-quality accessible works based in improvisation, showcasing the joy of improv and the amazing world-class talent of improvising artists in Melbourne. So having industry recognition of this show is a big step for us :)
We are so grateful to audiences who have made it along to the show so far, and we look forward to many more nights of sponteanous creation with you. ❤️

The week of Noir Unscripted shows at Melbourne Fringe was a joy to be a part of. I feel like we fulfilled our goal of creating exceptional theatrical improv, and the season was a big step up from last year’s.

I’m so grateful to have a cast of legit world-class improvisers be a part of this show, and as a result we gave birth to seven unique and surprising film-noir stories, filled with romance, danger, passion and lots of whiskey and ci******es.

Our final night of NOIR UNSCRIPTED was ‘The Case of the Greasy Strangler!’, a tale of movie stars, school teachers and canola oil! What a great show to end our run. Hilarious, tragic and very noir. Thank you everyone who came along during our run!
And wanted to give a huge thank you to Sheng Yi Lee for coming along each night and captured all these beautiful moments! Thanks so much Sheng! ❤️

🏆 We’re so grateful to have been nominated for 'Best Cabaret' at Melbourne Fringe this year for our show CABARET UNSCRIPTED. 🏆

Although we didn't take home the big prize last night, we're incredibly appreciative to the Fringe judges and audiences who came along to the show and enjoyed the show.

Improvised works are rarely recognised in this way, so we're really excited to keep going and building upon our work so far in this new company.

We love performing this show, especially having audiences contribute and share in the wild and wonderful improvisation that we live for.
