Each setup arrives with a tub & coil kit. The boxed kit contains a fire coil, all the required quick connect fittings & attachments, heat resistant hose & hose clamps, spanner for fitting the ports, a temperature gauge & a small tube of silicone (Insulated covers are an optional extra)

You will receive a FireTub & boxed FireCoil Kit on delivery. Find a relatively level location for your tub & follow the ‘Setup Guide’ to get everything set up in less than 20 minutes.

🪵🔥Our FireTubs require no pump to circulate/ heat the water making them offgrid & able to be setup & used virtually anywhere…. But how do they work we are often asked; let’s explore!
🔥The Foundation.

Our FireTubs have a fire coil which is fitted to our gal tubs via a lower & upper port. Once connected, the tub is filled with water leaving us with a now static system (ie- no circulation… no flow) however once we build a fire inside the coil & have radiant heat warming the steel coil we initiate a process known as a thermal siphon…
🔥What is a Thermal Siphon?

A thermal siphon is a heat exchange method that allows liquid to move without the requirement of a pump. It works by using temperature differences to draw & push liquid from one area to another. The liquid
gives off heat in the cooler place before going back to the starting point start & repeating in a continuous loop. This natural convectional process transfers heat from fire to the water column within the coil without the use of power or mechanical means.
🔥So How Does a Thermal Siphon Work within a FireTub?

Provided there is fire present within the coil, cool water from the tub is drawn in & up into the coil via the lower port (given heat rises it creates a vacuum like effect at the base/ lower port drawing water into the coil). As the water column cycles upwards it is heated via convectional forces (heat transfer from fire to liquid) the water column continues to heat as it circulates upwards where the now hot water flows back into the tub via the top port… This cycles continues until you reach your desired hottub temperature!
🔥But… How do I Control the Temperature?

The fire is the lever to this entire system… no fire- no circulation; therefore once you are at or close to your desired temperature simply stop adding fire load to the fire coil. As the fire degrades & dies down so too will the siphon & circulating flow. As the siphon slows the mechanism of heat transfer/ heating (ie- convection) will also slow meaning no further temperature gain…
