A fun thing about working at a sandwich shop is that there’s 5-6 of you only working a stones throw away from each other. A lot happens during a busy service and you need each other for the day to go well. This makes the hospitality industry a bit different from any other. Relationships forged, friendships are fast tracked - and it’s been an honour becoming your friend Darcy. We’re lucky this place brought us together: Bon boyage and thank you for the last 3 years 🫶

A few years ago Liz made the mistake of wearing a synthetic top to work. She looked cute as but didn’t realise that if you accidentally poured boiling water on your top. That s**t wasn’t going anywhere. We didn’t realise it at the time but she worked the rest of the shift with 2nd degree burns on her entire arm. Bit of an unflattering post to be sharing on her birthday but it’s a good analogy for Liz as a person. She’s harder than I’ll ever be. She loves the people around her and in hindsight, didn’t want to leave us with one person down, and she loves Applehead and just cooking in general. In fact, if you’re in her sphere of influence she loves pretty hard - That definitely extends to you all as well. I’m lucky to have met her. Happy birthday Liz. We love you too 🙂‍↕️
