Homm Dessert at Heart

You wouldn't believe it, cheese on top of Homm's drink takes so long to launch even though we already have whipped cheese served with our Avalanche Bingsu.

Here's the story.

When we top our drinks with our regular "whipped Bingsu cheese", the cheese sinks to the bottom. And what's troublesome was that the taste seemed to be too strong that it overwhelms the drink in the cup.

So the team gathered at the round table again. We tested and wasted kilos and kilos of cream cheese. Actual cream cheese only, no cheese powder involved. ❌

Then we did it, we found the perfect ratio. And now it's time to serve the long-due cheese top to you.

We added a new item into the line up too. The jasmine tea is buzzin, no cap.

Dear customers,

An unforeseen circumstance had occurred on Saturday 31/08/2024, at around 9pm, at Homm Melbourne Central branch.

Seven to ten strangers intruded the venue and caused aggression amongst themselves, resulting in panic and possible collateral damage to Homm's customers and bystanders.

Some customers were forced to stop dining due to the much escalated incident that involved violence to a strong degree. The priority was to seek safety.

Homm would like to show gratitude for all of our customers at that time. Thank you for understanding and showing concern to our team members.

If you were at the venue and did not get a chance to enjoy your desserts, please feel free to come back and let us take care of you, your family, and your friends once more. Simply show the receipt of your purchase, and we'd love to make new desserts for you, free of charge.

Our hours this upcoming Monday!

Another of Homm's biggest mission is complete: to have a menu that everybody can enjoy carefreely. And by everybody, we mean EVERYBODY.

Whether you're lactose intolerant, allergic to egg, vegan, or just freaking love Taro, nothing is stopping you anymore, because our new Taro Bingsu answers for all of that.

Truth is, since May, we have had launched the new recipe Taro Bingsu quietly already. We wanted to make sure everything is operating smoothly before announcing it officially. And now we're ready!

So by the time you've seen this post, the new Taro Bingsu is already rolling in all of Homm's stores.

Please bring that friend who had to get only the sparkling drinks when they come to Homm because they can't have dairy & lactose. The Taro Bings awaits!

Although, the only bad news is, the new Taro Bingsu will be replacing our old friend Cane Caramel Bingsu 😔 But that will be back for some seasonal periods for sure.

Where are the Sunshine people at? This June, Homm Dessert is coming to the West, we opening before the end of this month for sure! Thank you for your continuous support, we're so excited to be there.

Our Box Hill store had been operating for a couple of months, but being our first store outside of CBD, we had to adjust to ensure things were as expected!

The time has come! And we’d love to invite you over to our full menu launch days, this 15th - 16th May (Wed & Thu). Starting from 3:30pm-10:30pm.

To show our appreciation to the locals who’ve been supporting us during our soft launch period, the team would love to pay for half of your bill during these two days.

Homm ventures into the savory-dessert journey, and this is our first take on everybody's favourite: corn.

Corn had been on our minds for quite sometimes (from day 1 actually), but we wanted to do something new.

After around 7 big drafts and countless flavour adjustments, we made it. Corn isn't something you'd find often in desserts, but believe us that we put so much time, effort, and love, into R&D-ing for this menu.

Tbh we don't even know how it'll turn out to be. We just know that we have to stick to 'Doing things we love to eat'. Will everybody love it like how we do? We hope so, but in the end, you're the ones to answer that.

Another huge step for Homm because savory desserts aren't trending, but we agreed we don't wanna wait for it to trend, we just want you to enjoy eating what we enjoy.

The Pink Himalayas bingsu, for those who want to literally move mountains for their lover.

Pink sala fruit syrup snowflakes, whipped cheese, croutons, Homm strawberry gelato.

We are having an annual meeting to reflect on the past year and what we can do to improve our service and products.

And for this reason, Homm Dessert Mel Cen will be closed just for a day.

Lately you must have noticed our mango has been a bit weird. Not as fresh nor not as tangy as it was meant to be.

Unfortunately, upon investigation, we've discovered that these times are when the weather's changing, supplier's facing some issues, and fruits are something that is sensibly affected directly by that.

We don't want to disappoint you especially when you have to line up for 30 minutes for your favourite Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu, then it doesn't turn out as expected. That's why we have to be honest and let you know.

The chef's working hard to resolve this issue ASAP, because desserts can't wait!
