“Oscar” 2022, oil on board. Over the weekend I finally got to see one of my favourites (so far) all framed up! This one was unplanned, now finding myself planning to do more like it 🤝

“Dash” 🏃‍♂️🌟 oils on canvas maybe 120 x 110 (I’ve got no clue exactly), another commission that’s all about the details and this guy really glowed. He took me an embarrassingly long time to complete (painting a yellow horse under yellow lights at night is not a good combo) but got there eventually. I’m so grateful to people that ask me to do these pet portraits as they allow me to get the hours in practising, and this one was a lot of hours 🫶🫶🫶 (top right of the last pic is my fav part, peak the shadows from his eyelashes, tiny details make it)

“Romeo” oils on canvas (180x120cm). Finally got around to taking some high res photos (black on black = difficult)!! This painting was such a fun experiment, next step might be to play around with prints and maybe try doing a few more like him🫣😁🥰

This one’s been a long journey from stretching the canvas to screwing in the hooks for hanging. Seal sat on the back shelf for a while while I juggled uni, work and life last year. He left today for his new home, bittersweet, I got a bit attached to this one. 🥰 ❤️🧡💙🖤

Best way to start the week! 🥰 Received this photo of a finished “Strawberry” hanging in his new home! It’s a long process but the end result and knowing the work helps tie together a special space like a home makes it all the much sweeter. 💛

Hoping everyone had a very Merry Christmas and is looking forward to the long weekend. 🎄

Back in the studio today as I’m already stacked up with paintings for the New Year (exciting!!!) so if anyone is thinking about getting any pieces done in the first 12 weeks of next year, let me know now before I get too busy. The plan is to head back to uni in March = even less time to work on independent commissions.

I’m so grateful for all my clients, and excited to see what gets cooked up in 2021!
