World Mental Health Day - Take a moment for a cup of tea.

Do you know that having a coffee or drink with a friend is healthy for your mental well-being?

The chance for connection, conversation and understanding is apart of our innate human desire.

Apparently research has found that just 8 minutes to connect can make all the difference!

In a research in 2021 reported extensively in the New York Times ‘those fortunate enough to receive calls a few times a week experienced a significant reduction in levels of depression, loneliness, and anxiety.

At the end of the day, eight minutes of a friend’s time can make all the difference in the world. Best of all, it’s only eight minutes. “Eight minutes! When somebody texts you ‘Do you have eight minutes?’ Any of us can pause a movie, step out of a meeting, or leave a room to talk to a friend in need for eight minutes,” says Simon’ Sinek from The Optimism Company.

Sometimes it’s the small things that makes a big difference. So make time for that coffee, that catch-up or pick up the phone for your 8 minute catch-up!

What is a Sitz bath?

A sitz bath is a warm, shallow bath for cleansing the perineal area.

The combination of rich magnesium, Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate, Chamomile, Comfrey, Calendula, Yarrow flowers, Marshmallow root, Lavender flowers, Bergamot Oil helps to stimulate blood flow, fight infection, heal tears, and reduce swelling.

Dissolving them in a warm bath and then bathing in them encourages absorption into the skin, boosting the body’s Magnesium levels.

Magnesium is also know to help relax and improve sleep quality aiding in the reduction of tiredness, fatigue, and anxiety.

One of our popular request to get in is the HIPP HA formula but we don’t like encouraging you to rush off purchasing these formulas because 1) we can only get it direct from Europe 2) sometimes there are postal/courier delays 3) sometimes the meanies aka customs team might peek and open a tin or two making them unusable and $$ down the drain.

We are lucky here in Australia, lots of formula choices, Holle from Europe is officially distributed here alongside a bunch of new organic local brands so it’s much easier to get this to you or at supermarkets.

That said, some babies returning to Australia are used to their baby formulas or you’re at your wits ends with baby stomach problems, then yes we can get it into Australia for you. Or America of course, and Canada!

Why is HIPP HA always sold out though?

Many parents seek this special HIPP Baby formulation instead of the more common HIPP varieties due to it's Hypo allergenic properties.

This means that although they are made from the same organic cow's milk as all regular HiPP formulas, the proteins are broken down so that the baby's immune system can't react to them.

HIPP itself is made in a few different European countries, meaning supplies are usually plentiful and reliable. HIPP HA though is only made in Germany.

Unfortunately this means that depending on demands and peaks, sometimes they are harder to source!

We have both in stock at the moment. HIPP HA 1 and 2, so reach out if you need a hand or have any questions.
