Imperfections are beauty.
I have put on a couple of kilos after working really hard to get 10kg off.
I feel sh*t about it.
F**k me I am sick of constantly worrying about my weight. I have been doing it for years, most of my life. Can you relate?
When are we ever happy with our bodies? I am a very curvy person, will never be “skinny” - in my eyes.
It is hard to get back on the wagon after you fall off. It has a cascading effect on other parts of your life too.
But every day I am trying.
Stop being so hard on yourself Michelle.
Love your body, for all that she does, and all that she is… because she is beautiful - stretch marks, cellulite, mum tum, scars, wrinkles, all the imperfections.
She is perfectly imperfect.

My private retreat in May was simply amazing. Organised through Kirsten @byronwellbeing . Kirsten prepared all my healthy meals, and we did daily breathwork, meditation, massages and beach walks.
It was such an amazing experience. It is the second time I have organised a private retreat with Kristen.
Can’t wait for the next one!
So much has happened in my life over the last five years… f**k me it has been hard… but I survived… actually I thrived it all!
I wasn’t sure I would get to this point, and never imagined I would be so deliriously happy about where I am and who I am.
I am so f**king grateful for all the amazing people around me, the heartbreak, hard times and enormous mountains I have had to climb to get to where I am today 🙏💛.
Life is a journey… not a destination. Start living your life people 💛

I was having a discussion with my counsellor the other day about feeling bad for wanting to eat chocolate all the time 😬 which I gave only started doing in the last few years!! Never been a chocolate person! It is outside of the eating regime I am currently trying to achieve. It felt a bit shameful, that I wanted to eat chocolate, and often. The more I battled this thought, the more shameful I felt. Now this may sound a bit extreme… it is just f**king chocolate. However my goal is to get my eating sorted out, lose weight and sustain healthy eating habits. We talked about how this wasn’t a healthy thought pattern and suggested I look at a concept “I give myself permission to…” So I have started to ask myself “do I give myself permission to do…”when I am beating myself up for certain things. Sometimes it is a yes, sometimes a no. It is interesting... the disruption to unhealthy thinking when you ask yourself this question, when you want to eat the chocolate, or get some rest, or take time off, or do something that feels like you are not working towards your goals. Sometimes we set such high expectations of ourselves, that it is hard to take a break or remember we are human. Giving yourself permission to do something is a form of self love. Nothing diffuses anger and conflict faster than a shared laugh. A study in Norway found that people with a strong sense of humor outlived those who don’t laugh as much. The difference was particularly notable for those battling cancer. Happy Monday lovelies 😊 What did you get up to on the weekend? I had a wonderful weekend. I spent Saturday afternoon with a friend at Van Gogh at The LUME Melbourne. - it was absolutely amazing - highly recommend it! We had dinner and talked and talked for hours - I didn’t get home until 3am 😮 so Sunday I slept in and took it easy as I was a wee bit tired and cranky! I cleaned up my house, did washing and meal planned. I use Mondays as a planning and cashflow day. That is not negotiable! I am all out of whack when I don’t do it! I like to view Mondays as a great opportunity to start a fresh week and get on track with what I need to get done. I visualise my ideal day in the shower in the morning. If you dread Mondays, then your Mondays are probably not going to be great. How do you view your Monday? Today is World Mental Health Day. It is a reminder that 1 in 4 people experience mental health challenges and that you are not alone, even though sometimes it may feel like it. It has been a little more prevalent over the last 18 months. Some one the ways to care for your mind include: 🔅Meditation 🔅Journalling 🔅Practicing gratitude 🔅Being mindful 🔅Breathing 🔅Walking in nature 🔅Self-care activities 🔅Movement 🔅Connecting with others 🔅Rest You don’t have to sit cross legged in silence like a monk to meditate - those people who are meditation masters have been practicing it for years! They started somewhere- just stopping, allowing your mind to rest, learning to let you thoughts come and go and not clearing your mind of them, and focussing on your breath for just 5 minutes has amazing benefits. It could be going for a walk, reading, anything that you feel a sense of calm - that aaahhh feeling when you do it. Mindful activities doesn’t have to mean drawing beautiful mandalas - it is any activity where you feel present, noticing the things around you as you are doing it. Try this for 1 minute - using your senses - what do you see, smell, hear, feel, taste. Making your daily coffee is a great way to feel this… notice the sounds of the kettle boiling, water pouring, the smell of the coffee, the heat of the water. Like anything, they require practice and commitment. I would love for you to make caring for your mind as much of a priority as caring for your body, scrolling through Instagram or checking your emails. The small changes you make daily attribute to big changes over time. They become habits… choose good ones 😊 For me, going for a forest walk, painting and drawing, are big things that make a big difference to my mental health and are not negotiable.
