Paul A Kukucka leads the way with most games played on 167, followed by brother Steven Kukucka Snr on 158 games & brother Sam Kukucka on 156 games..

Most runs honours go to Sam Kukucka on 4,225 runs, followed by Steven Kukucka Snr on 4,007 runs & Daryl Veteha on 3,828 runs

Nevzat Isamili leads the way with most wickets taken on 338 wickets followed by Milko Cjepa on 322 wickets & Steven Kukucka Snr on 253 wickets.

Most catches honours go to Matthew Frendo on 92 catches, followed by Daryl Veteha on 78 catches & Ricky Wheeler on 77 catches.

The Footscray Angliss Cricket Club wishes to advise that our AGM will be held at 6:30pm on Monday the 12th of August at Angliss Reserve. We look forward to seeing you all at this very important club meeting. Help us plan for the future.

New life member inductee Daniel Nightingale takes up the Most catches honours on 280 catches, followed by Life member Spiro Koziaris on 199 catches. Life member Daryl Veteha takes up 3rd spot on 189 catches, followed by Life member Scott Flannigan on 174 catches & Life member Steven Kukucka Snr on 156 catches.

Most Stumpings honours go to Ray Reid on 93 stumpings, followed by Daniel Nightingale on 67 stumpings and Life member Len Hunter on 38 Stumpings. Herb Souhthall takes up 4th spot on 31 stumpings followed by Kevin Soden on 27 Stumpings.

Having been a sensational addition in 2023/24, the club is extremely pleased to announce that Jamie Hughes will return in 2024/25 as our Head Junior Coach!

After a very successful first season in the role we cannot wait to see what he can achieve this year with our junior program and with bat and ball. Jamie will be back in Australia following his season with Knowle and Dorridge.

Life member Nevzat Ismaili takes up 3rd spot on 571 wickets, followed by fast bowler Milko Cjepa on 556 wickets & club legend Spiros Koziaris on 495 wickets. All game stats include the 2023-2024 season and include Senior & Junior Wickets.

Pre-Season Schedule for 2024/25 updated. Please note Western Sports Centre sessions will now be held at Elite Cricket Academy, 89 Elm Park Drive, Hoppers Crossing. We look forward to seeing everyone at the first session on Tuesday Night.

Life member Daniel Nightingale takes up fourth spot on 6899 runs followed by club legend P.A Kukucka on 5922 runs. Six Kukucka brothers are in the top 15 all time run scorers, what an achievement! All game stats include the 2023-2024 season and include Seniors & Junior runs.

Footscray Angliss CC will be having an over 50s side in the coming season for the first time in our club’s magnificent history. If you’re looking at easing yourself back into cricket and are over 50 years of age please get in contact with either Terry Martin or Spiros Koziaris. The games will be played on Sundays.

Information Evening Tonight

Our Senior Information Night is coming up on Monday the 15th of July at 6:30pm. All players looking to play senior cricket in 2024/25 are encouraged to attend.

We have had 1,238 players represent this great club since formation. Club legend Spiros Koziaris debut way back in the 1980/81 season. He takes up the most games played honours on 459 games, followed by life member Steven Kukucka (Snr) on 410 games. Life member Daryl Veteha comes in third on the list with 407 games, followed by Life members John Verdino on 386 games and Sam Kukucka on 358 games.

Our Senior Information Night is coming up on Monday the 15th of July at 6:30pm. All players looking to play senior cricket in 2024/25 are encouraged to attend.

Lachlan Broadway is back on board for 2024/25.

Following on from two impressive seasons with the club we can’t wait to see what he can achieve in the upcoming season.

More big signing news with fast bowler Brendan Bennett re-signing for 2024-25.

Brendan is an integral part of our club and bowling attack and we can’t wait to see him taking the new ball at Angliss Reserve this season.

Footscray Angliss are really excited to announce the signing of two Vanuatu National Team Cricketers to play at our club in 2024/25.

Looking for opportunities to play consistent cricket throughout the summer, we are looking forward to the boys calling Angliss Reserve home this season.

Darren Wotu is an opening bowler who will spend his second season in Australia with us following time at Cragieburn in Senior Division last year.

Womejo Wotu is a hard-hitting, medium pace all-rounder who will be spending his first season in Australia.

Both players have international experience having represented their country.

We are looking forward to having Darren and Womejo around the club. 🔵🟡

Ashane is a star leg spinner and middle order batsman who has extensive cricketing experience having played at Premier Level for Footscray and Sub District Level for Yarraville.

We cannot wait to see what he can achieve at our club both passing on his knowledge as a coach and with bat and ball on field.

The Footscray Angliss Cricket Club is excited to announce that Daniel Janka has recommitted to the club as Senior Coach for 2024/25.

This season will be his second in the job and fourth at the club as he looks to build on the promising signs shown across the grades last year.

Daniel will continue to captain the 1st XI and will again form an integral part of our batting order in 2024/25.

We look forward to seeing what Daniel can achieve in the upcoming season with our senior sides and developing juniors. Pre-season dates will be out soon.

Congratulations to Daniel Nightingale who was named in the Division 4 VTCA Team of the Year last night at the VTCA Presentation Night. It caps off a great year for new Life Member Daniel.

Last Friday Night we celebrated our Senior Presentation Night at The Yarraville Club. It was a fantastic night celebrating all that was achieved in 2023/24. Eric Tanti won the PA Kukucka Medal, Teresa Tanti was awarded Best Club Person and Daryl Veteha took home the Club Champion. Thank you to all who attended and help make it a great night.

At the WRJCA Presentation Night Mark Cuni collected the premiership flag as captain of our victorious U17 Team. Ben Elg won the U11 competition bowling award and older brother Alex won the U17 competition batting award. Well done to the U17’s and the Elg brothers on fantastic achievements and seasons! 🔵🟡

On Friday at our Senior Presentation Night, Daniel Nightingale and Liam Nuredini were awarded Life Membership of our club.

Daniel begun his career with Footscray Angliss in 1999. Since then he has played 300 matches, 142 of those in our A Turf (the most). Daniel has played 305 innings for 6899 runs the 4th most in our clubs history, 4076 of those runs have been in A Turf. He has scored 5 x 100s and 46 x 50s and taken 62 wickets. A star wicket keeper, Daniel has also taken 280 catches (the most in club history) and 67 stumpings.
Over his career, he has captained 9 seasons, won 4 premierships and served as a committee member for 7 seasons.

A close friend of Daniel, Liam debuted for Footscray Angliss in 2002 and has played 269 games and taken 339 wickets so far. He has taken 12 x 5 wicket hauls and once took 10 wickets in a match. His best bowling performance is 8/39 and over his career he has won 7 bowling average trophies. With the bat he has scored 1773 runs, taken 41 catches and won 3 premierships.
He has spent 10 seasons as a committee member, 5 of which have been as secretary. Phenomenally Liam has been involved in our Junior Clinic for 12 seasons and been a junior coach for 4 seasons.

Congratulations Daniel and Liam on honours which are very well deserved!

Join us on Sunday to say farewell to Jamie Hughes from 1pm at the Yarraville Footscray Bowls Club for a game of barefoot bowls. Jamie heads back to the UK next week. We hope to see everyone from the junior and senior grades there to say good bye to Jamie after all his hard work this season.
