Gutter Rat Knives

My good mate Rob Jones, who i worked with a few years ago at the Highway Patrol, will soon be releasing a short documentary series.

In this series he will interview several ex Vic Pol members (including myself) & have us share some experiences from our time in the job.

Some of you may know Rob from th TV show "Highway Patrol" & will know that he is quite a character.

Black kydex drop plate with a 50mm wide leather loop.

I really like how the sheath sits with the leather loop.

Something new i'd been wanting to try after seeing a few other kydex maker's integrating leather into their builds.

Coyote coloured kydex for the sheath itself.

The belt clip & drop plate are from the factory sheath. This sheath was made to be compatible with the factory mounting hardware.

The belt clip & drop plate are too good not to re use.

Multi cam kydex sheath with teklok on an ESEE 5.

This is one heavy knife yet it's not coming out of that sheath by accident.

Sheath i finished a couple of days ago. By far the biggest knife i have worked with.

I have 7 of the racks that sit on top of am ammo can for use as a firebox.

I am selling them for $30 each including postage inside Oz.

LT Wright bushcraft knife; the owner wanted to be able to wear it on his waist yet not have it snag on the waist strap for his pack.

I made a drop plate to mount the teklok & drop the positioning of the overall holster.

The drop plate is removable so it can be lashed to molle loops on the pack using paracord.

Just another kydex sheath on a knife by Todd Edmonds of TE Custom Blades.

Only difference is, this one was already in service yet being carried in a generic nylon sheath.

I think this looks much better. This knife's a user.

All these kydex sheaths were completed today.

Probably the knife i am most proud of so far. Wasn't going to sell it but everything has a price & this one will go for $175 including postage inside Australia.

Steel was from an old concrete saw blade. Copper pins. Desert Oak scales & zombie green kydex sheath.

This knife would be great for camping, hunting & food prep in the outdoors. It's a high carbon steel & as such can rust if not washed & dried properly then oiled after each use.

Minimalist tomahawk cover; held on with shock cord.

First one i've done & i'm pretty happy with how it turned out & how secure it is.

The factory one was absolute rubbish.
