I have made the very tough decision to quit the music promoting industry effective immediately.
Since returning from a few months off, it just hasn't felt the same and I haven't enjoyed it at all so I've made the incredibly tough decision to leave the scene.
I'd like to apologise for any inconvenience this causes, and I'd also like to thank anyone who has supported me over the last 2 years in the promoting industry - whether they were in a band, worked in a venue, or were a photographer. Your support kept me going.

Thanks to David Chambers for the fantastic photos of the gig Friday night!

For the first band Vandality only the red lights were on which made it a bit limiting for the photo's which was disappointing as it was awesome to watch these boys who are 17 playing original music. It is going to be awesome to watch them over the years.
After the first set I asked the sound tech if he could just cycle the lights through and it gave some really interesting effects, I think there may have been some UV black light in the mix which is awesome when I am using the full spectrum camera. I decided to really push boundaries and experiment especially for the One More Weekend shots so I didn't really expect the majority to come out. I have only done basic adjustments here however I am going to spend some time with some of the shots experimenting with some post processing ideas.

PLEASE READ

I have made the incredibly tough decision that, at the end of March, I will be stepping away from Rocky Water Promotions and putting the company on hold. At this stage, I don't know if or when I will return.

This is a decision I've been wrestling with for a while now, but decided it's something I need to do for personal and mental health reasons.

No shows I have announced will be cancelled, and I have two more to announce in March, and then a show I am holding on March 29 will be my last.

This may come as a surprise, and I'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, but I hope you will all understand.

I'd like to say a massive thank you to each and every band I have worked with in the nearly two years I have been doing this, and to each and every venue that has played host to one of my shows.

A special thank you must go to the bands that were on my roster - Seddon - band, Moonlight Broadcast, Crooked Thieves, The Reasons Why & Little Rituals - who have all been incredibly understanding and I wish them all every success for the future.

Also, I'd like to thank Sasha Janssen and the crew at Whole Lotta Love which has almost become RWP's second home with the amount of shows I have put on there. Fellow promoters and bands, I urge you to hold more shows there, it is a fantastic venue and brilliantly run!

Lastly, I'd like to thank my family for sticking by me through this crazy journey, and for supporting my decision to put RWP on hold.

In the meantime, RWP still has a few shows to go, including Welf/Devils Kiss/Atriox - Valentines Day at Whole Lotta Love next week, so I hope to see as many of you there as possible.
