Wonderful News for Australia Made Corn 100% Tortillas
Good News! Our corn tortillas are A-OK & a great choice for those on a low-FODMAP diet. We’ve just been certified by the Fodmap Friendly program.
🤔What is a low-FODMAP diet you ask? well for some people the humble garlic, onion, wheat based breads and some dairy options will have them running for the bathroom.
This easily recognisable “FODMAP Friendly” logo assists people with such symptoms to shop and eat with confidence.
This means that you can now make a low-fodmap diet choice and clearly choose the best option for those who suffer from gluten intolerance, IBS, Crohn's disease or leaky gut syndrome. We don’t support labelling people but we do support caring for our friends and family. 🫂
Chilaquiles are another good option but hold the beans and opt for some chopped tomatoes, sliced avocado or chicken instead.
Cheese lovers are in luck! Most cheeses are low in lactose and this means low FODMAP, so go ahead and treat yourself to a quesadilla!
Fun Facts❗❗
🌽FODMAPS are not soluble in water, so our slow cooked carnitas (lamb) is a perfect meat option due to all the natural good fat (oils) that coat them.
🌽 Corn tortillas are made with cropping corn, the closest you will get to the ancestors of modern-day corn. Not the sweet corn you find in grocery stores. Cropping corn contains low levels of sugar, perfect for anyone on a low FODMAP diet.
🌽The low FODMAP diet is proven to reduce digestive symptoms of IBS and recommended only for a short time, it is one that globally restricts the consumption of fermentable carbohydrates.
Of course always seek a medical professional if you have that gut feeling that something is not right. 😝

Good friends show us how corn can look. Amazing
Have you ever seen corn as gorgeous as this heirloom corn from ? 😍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The real question on everyone's mind is whether they would make a good tortilla? 🤔
Do you know your Chocolate
The word 'Chocolate' comes from the Nahuatl word 𝑥𝑜𝑐𝑜𝑙ā𝑡𝑙, referring to the food obtained by mixing water or milk with cacao😋
Nahuatl was the language spoken by most of the inhabitants of central Mexico🇲🇽 at the time of the Spanish conquest. This is why many words were adapted to Spanish and then to English from Nahuatl to describe the plants, animals, and foods of the New World🌎❣️
The best explanation of Real Mexican Food
Very respectful to people like this and the way they live. Might and power to you
One of the new trends that could be a long term solution
Stop looking for Cheap Prices on Products, think about the Farmers before any purchase
Food isn't 'affordable' if it drives farmers out of business If food is 'affordable' for the customer, it is far below affordable for the farmer.
Now that's thinking outside the box!!!!
Yet someone else kicking Goals, why are we waiting on Government to make the first call. They seam to be the fence sitters
Very Good
Producers struggle to keep up with demand for goat meat Consumers turn to goat meat as an alternative, but tough seasonal conditions see producers struggling to keep up with demand.
What do you think. Are we heading in the right direction too slowly
Brilliant kicking Goals once again
See it's not that hard. Never be lazy with your shopping
Yes off the Grid
I hope people do care and not just obsessed with price all the time.
The real cost of cheap chicken In the unrelenting search for cheap meat, today’s intensively-raised, hormone-fueled chickens gain so much weight so quickly that their organs start to collapse just weeks after birth. How did we get here?
We like like this, better than using petroleum right!!!!

Now this is interesting, why are other major players saying the opposite. Is it lazy or not willing to do it.
Question for you all. How can you do a sausage sizzle at $2.00 when the cost of a sausage is at least $3.00 per sausage whole sale. That includes, roll or 2x pieces of bread, mustard or Sausage and Onions. It makes no sense. Are people cutting corners or getting donations.
It does not get any better than these.
🌽🔜🌮 The transformative journey our humble corn grains go through every day, so that we may enjoy our tacos 🙏🏾 It takes 24 hours to make a tortilla from scratch (...notice there's no instant 'tortilla flour' in there anywhere!🚫). It's labour intensive, time consuming, & worth every single second of it! 😋
To find a local store near you that stocks them and our tortilla chips, check https://latortilleria.com.au/where-to-buy
Lets hope its not bad old Chemicals as well
