The club celebrated our hard working on course staff today with coffee and morning tea in the clubhouse. As typical, not all members of the team could make it as they were busy working on the course. Dedicated to the cause.

It’s always a pleasure hosting the Charles Crompton event for past & present Committee who have all contributed so much to Kew Golf Club over the years. The highlight of the ‘day’ was Life member Libby Day winning with trophy and enjoyed lunch alongside her 99 year old father Alan Day who is also a life member of Kew GC.
Charles Crompton was first elected to Committee in 1936, serving until 1948. He was re-elected in 1959 and became Treasurer in 1961 until 1974, a period which covered both the re-organisation caused by the establishment of the Eastern Freeway, the building of two new courses and a new Clubhouse. He then became Captain for two years and was elected as a Life Member in 1975.
Congratulations to Dorothy Chard who recorded a hole in one on the 4th hole on Tuesday 19th September 👏 Dorothy hit her ‘Divine’ 9 wood to a front middle flag, and was very surprised when she released it had gone in! 🥇
The Board of Kew Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Roberts as our new Chief Executive Officer. Stephen will be joining Kew on the 2nd October after a long career in Golf and Resort management.
Stephen’s early career was spent in management roles at Commonwealth, Long Island and Green Acres golf clubs. He then worked for many years in the resort and golf industry with the RACV and most recently as General Manager of the Hidden Valley resort.
He is a low handicap golfer at Metropolitan and Woodend golf clubs and a former junior member at Kew. He has a young family and will be commuting to Kew daily from his home in Woodend.
He is looking forward to returning to a traditional golf club setting such as Kew and will bring with him great skills in golf, hospitality and financial management. We welcome Stephen to Kew and look forward to working together on exciting opportunities and projects in the near future.
The Melbourne weather has been stunning this week and was perfect timing for our Women’s Spring Fling event ☀️ 95 participants enjoyed golf followed by a delicious light lunch of chicken ribbon sandwiches, fruit platter with a glass of bubbles, mocktail or aperol spritz. 🥂

Close to 70 Kew GC members at Kew enjoyed the 1st ever ‘Octogenarian’ Golf & Lunch event earlier this week on Monday. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive for the chipping & putting clinics, nearest the pin competitions followed by lunch. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to get-together and chat over a delicious lunch.
Testimonial - Today I played with Ruth Tenace. A massive rush of wind and driving rain came and pulled every tip off the spokes of Ruth’s umbrella. Seeing Ruth struggle Chris rushed into action and fixed every tip
