Composed of loose cubes in rich blues, from light Prussian to intense ultramarine, and accented with metal shapes, this piece represents our interlocking lives and the support and unity belonging brings. School’s back, but we’re still remembering
my SCHOOL HOLIDAY ART CLUB.

One of the top activities this time was a simple version of Candle Making with a cute painted base.
🔥🔥🔥
Excitement was high as this culminated in striking a match and lighting your own candle to seal in the wax at the top.
🔥🔥🔥
Kidlets ranged in age from 7 to 11 and most had no experience in lighting a match and handling fire. I’m all for the hands on, the tangible and so delighted in this introduction (being a bit of a pyro-maniac kid that grew up in the Country playing with fire 🔥 myself …)

CLARITY.
Like the sharp line on my shoulder in this pic is my word for the year Art Lovers.
I’ve been choosing a word for the year ever since 2020, and my experience is that this word is often elusive, something I’m looking for, looking to cultivate, and desire, but often eludes me until 12 months later. It’s something you cannot force.
It sits in BOLD in the middle of my Vision Board that a look at every morning as part of my morning ritual.
