The balsamic vinegar from Modena has a harmonious, rounded, well-balanced and persistent flavour and is the result of a long period of ageing in oak barrels.⁠

GOLDEN LATTE: This delicious warm bevvie prepared lovingly by our talented baristas is made from a special in-store mix. It’s a combo of tumeric powder, cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne or black pepper (to help the body absorb the tumeric). We think it tastes best with honey and coconut milk but we can adjust it to suit each customer’s needs. ⁠

COMMUNITY SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL CONDIMENT AND PICKLE LOVERS: We have aisles and aisles of groceries at our store and have carefully selected all sorts of specialist and local products that aren’t readily available in big supermarkets. Our range includes sauces, relishes, pickles, olives, pastes and other condiments created from scratch with no yucky additives or preservatives.⁠

We are so sad to say goodbye to our true love Jez! He is absolutely one of the funniest gents we have ever had in the store and our carrots won’t ever look the same without his keen eye. If he were a vegetable he said he would be a cucumber and if you have had a cucumber and also know Jez you would know how fitting that is. We will all miss you, you dead set legend and just one more thing before you go…. Could you just quickly top up the milk fridge thanks mate.

XMAS RECIPE #3 - CAPONATA: Our home-chef gust blogger has done it again. In this recipe she offers up Sicily’s answer to the French ratatouille. Packed with dlecious organic vegetables and finished off with toasted pine nuts and currants, this dish is a fabulous addition to a xmas buffet or as a side to bbq’ed bits and pieces.⁠

XMAS RECIPE #2 - SMOKED TROUT DIP: The latest recipe offering from our home-chef guest blogger this ‘dip’ is fantastic served on a platter with bite-sized fresh vegetables (celery, carrot, radishes) and crackers or a crusty baguette. It also makes a delicious sandwich spread, slathered on summer sandwiches– just add whatever you have to hand: pickled veg, salad, leftover ham, turkey, chicken.
