Getting some ‘fresh air’ in Hepburn. Whenever I get out into the country, amongst towering trees and meandering rivers I always think… I really need to do this more often and then I think I need to take a seat whilst in the air.

To me it is the most important thing that I work on. It doesn’t just mean being flexible but to be able to move through full range of motion with the right amount of strength so to stabilise and support the joints. Everyday I work on flexibility and I work on strength and then most importantly combination of the two.
Neglecting this means the difference between an injured body and a free moving body.

We are looking to find someone to sublease our beautiful Collingwood studio - I’m only using the space for a fraction of the day and want to open it up to someone else looking to run their own classes. Are you a yoga teacher, pilates instructor or just looking for a space to run workshops? Or maybe you know someone you can share this post with. Cost is $700 per week. You’ll have full autonomy over your classes and can use the space freely to run your business.
We are always open to your ideas on how we can share the space. DM to enquire.

A type of training that will help keep you focused, accountable and feel part of a community. I incorporate practices that help you understand what and why your body is doing what it does so that you can be more intuitive and conscious of your movement and your body's needs. I think we can safely say this is one of the hardest strength exercises - Hanging L-sit hold. Build up grip strength, core strength, hip flexor strength, vmo strength and mental strength.

If you’ve been to one of my classes you’ll know Dolly’s 9-5 is a tune played on repeat. It really gets you moving. One of the reasons I wanted to get my own fitness space was so I could play my own music. There is such a rich texture and emotion in music that is all too often ironed out in a fitness setting/gym. Some bands on rotation at FFC are Arcade Fire, Dolly Parton, David Bowie, INXS, Prince, Talking Heads, Interpol, Future Islands, Tears for Fears, Radiohead, Notorious B.I.G, just to name a few. 😄 Join me today for our lunch time Functional Strength session 12:30pm, good music guaranteed.
